I don't really care about the sandwich, but their sauce are bomb.

They dude that work their give me only 4 pack of sauce for my 4 sandwiches; I told him I want more sauce. You need at least 2 pack for each sandwich.

The Arby's Q is really good too.

The meat is real, it's just not all from the same animal. I'm not sure it's all even from cows! 🙂 Actually, I think it is real beef, but it's like the roast beef equivalent of particle board. Compressed beef, sliced thin.

I've eaten five before... but it has been quite a while ago. Yes, something to be said for the faster metabolism of youth.

It's still 5 for 5.95 in Illinois, but I think they do skimp on the beef a little on these.

I bet if we REALLY knew everything that went into what we ate we probably would all never eat again! :Q Anyhow, my philosophy is if it tastes good just eat it! 😀 Arby's yum!

To hell with the 5 for whatever deal , just buy the Big Montana !!!
If your sides don't bust after eating it , nothing will make you bust .
They dont skimp on the meat either 🙂

The arby melts arent big, so 5 isnt much.... They are like Arby Juniors (the kids meal ones) with chedder sauce on them....so i really didnt eat that much.

Anyone in the Central PA area eat at Rax's? Man, their roast beef sandwiches are 43095943865675854958695876857x better than awful Arby's. I only get them when I go to State College or Johnstown, because there isn't a Rax in Altoona anymore, but everytime I go, I get about 8 of them. HIGHLY recommend them over Awfulby's.

I have eaten five at once before, but I admit I'm sucking down water the rest of the day and those burps about 3 hours later get pretty nasty!!:Q

What about tacos? Anyone ever downed a dozen tacos before? I did over the course of 2 hours during one half of a college football game.

I'll never forget the time I was 19 and 6 of us walked into a Pizza Hut while they were doing the regular price / 4 bucks /4 bucks deal. The 6 of us ordered 5 meat lovers and downed them all. Two of the guys with us split a medium meat lovers and the other four of us ate one EACH!! 😀 I thought I was going to DIE.

You want to talk real eating go to an all you can eat Chorascoria (Brazilian BBQ place) and eat Picanha and a little rice. I can down over a pound and 1/2 of steak in one sitting when called on.

Yeah I'm 29, 6'1 and about 195. My turn ons are... oh wait wrong forum😉

And yes I'll go for Arbys when called on. My favorite meal is 2 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers and a Chili from Wendy's though. Poor ol' Dave Thomas. He trained those guys on quick service though!

I don't know about this Rax place, but I agree!
Just give me a REAL roast beef sandwich, on a hard roll with mounds of REAL horseradish sauce
(the kind that burns the hairs out of your nose & makes your eyes water!).
That is a REAL roast beef sandwich!! Nothing better!!

With a beer, of course . . . uuhhhh . . . D U F F . . . 😀

From Arbys web site : Description of "Roast Beef"
Trimmed boneless beef chunks (minimum 70%) combined with chopped beef for a maximum of 12% fat. Contains up to 9% of a self-basting solution of water, salt, sodium phosphates.

<< beef chunks... >>

chunks of what part of beef?

OK - I got a guy sitting across the desk from me who used to work there.

His official answer is... "They have these giant roasts, approx 10 lbs, which they get in and cook on site. It appears to be real meat, although there is no bone. It does not come in a can, or any other obviously pre-processed container."

Sounds like they are at least trying to make the meat look good to the employees... oh, and seeing as almost anything will bounce, I don't know what that proves...🙂

<< Any former or current Arby's employees out there?
Someone step up to the plate and answer this for me.

I heard that their "roast beef" comes in a can and comes out of the can
like cranberry sauce . . . . <sucking sound> . . . <plop>!! And then it is sliced up,
like regular luncheon meat. Is this true?!!? :Q

If so, that's pretty friggin sick!!

Okay, I used to work at Arby's. Ugh. Here's the deal...

The beef comes in about 10-20 lb. shrink-wrapped packages (about the size of a large cooked ham). Imagine somewhat pureed ground beef with the uncooked consistency of greasy Play-Doh. Cut open that package, insert meat thermometer, slide er in the oven, and 3-4 hours later, you've got a huge hot loaf of beef! I've gotta admit, it wasn't *that* disgusting and I happily ate my free meals even after seeing the preparation all the way through.

The beef right out of the oven smelled so damn good, I must admit.

My stint at McDonald's was another story...makes Arby's look like the kitchen at the Four Seasons.

<< Roy Rogers was the best. Are they still around anywhere? >>

If I am not mistaken, there is at least 1 Roy Rogers in the Pittsburgh area. Forget if it was Monroeville..? I believe I saw it last time I was there..just a couple months ago.

they have the arby's melt for .99 right now, sameas the roastbeef sandwich but with cheese, so order an arby's melt but with no cheese, get them cheaper than 4 for $5
