Dumb question on the dvd playback ragiepew which software are you using for it? Cyberlink power dvd old version had a serious problem with win2k the upgrade solved that problem for me.

umm... may I ask why its a "Dumb" question? I have heard of people having problems w/ it in regards to the via 4in1 drivers and was wondering if it (and the cd burning problems) have been ironed out. I'm glad that your problem has been fixed but no need to call my concern "Dumb".

btw: I haven't tried out DVD playback... I have a DVDrom but not installed. I want to know whether or not to install the 4.29's before I try DVD playback. My question was also weighted towards burning as I had no luck buring w/ the 4.28's installed and upon trying to uninstall them and install 4.25's (which I know work) i started getting BSOD's upon boot. I could not even get into safe mode or even command promt. Had to reinstall win2k... something I dont want to do again anytime soon.
