3rd World America: Mass Graves in Chicago

It's a practice more closely associated with third world countries, but in bleak times in a Chicago-area suburb, 30 people were buried in a mass grave on Wednesday.

The pauper's burial section at Homewood Memorial Gardens was established for those who could not afford to pay for a burial plot.

And it is a problem that's sweeping America as tough economic times have led to an increase in the number of indigent burials the morgue must perform.

from the back of a U-Haul truck no less 🙁 trillions for war. billions in foreign aid. can't tell me that they couldn't afford a proper burial for these people. Only Ron Paul can save us now.

Is there a right to be buried now? How is this even a concern?

Cremate the dead and flush them down the toilet for all I care. Why cling to silly traditions?

You obviously don't know who Ron Paul is. He's a classic liberal who is against government spending. Ron Paul's America likely would have a lot of mass graves or people being thrown in the city trash or people being burned in incinerators. I don't mean death camps, but like what you do with people who are already dead and they don't have any money.

Mass graves just seems weird. Very third world. Cremating them and spreading ashes seems like it would be more appropriate. Even better would be harvesting their organs. Livers and eyeballs are in high demand right now. They taste really good with plum sauce.

They should be using reclaimed wood for those boxes, what a waste.

Anyway I am not sure what the correct way to dispose of people is. At least they are not wrapped in plastic and heaped upon one another.

In Fallout it's sold as Strange Meat.

At least the bodies are in separate coffins.

Info on each coffin is also logged for reference is needed down the road for reference/research

Basically:

Jewish law ("Halachah") is unequivocal that the dead must be buried in the earth.1

To sum up:
Cremation
· is a transgression of a Biblical law to bury our dead,
· demonstrates a rejection of G‑d's supreme "ownership" over all of Creation,
· violates our legal responsibility to return what was loaned to us (our bodies) in as wholesome a state as possible,
· constitutes a rejection of the Jewish belief of tzelem Elokim (created in G‑d's image),
· constitutes a rejection of the Jewish belief in resurrection of the dead,
· (if done voluntarily, knowing fully the responsibilities) will cause the body not to be included among the Jewish People when the time of resurrection arrives,
· violates the biblical prohibition of following heathen practices,
· upends the soul's natural separation and acclimation process, thus causing it additional untold pain,
· deviates from Jewish history and our forebears' and contemporaries' selfless and heroic efforts to properly bury our dead, and
· declares, in effect, that once the soul has departed the body, the lifeless body has no further value.

Reclaimed wood is actually worth a lot.

Not this validates the other spending but why is it my responsibility to pay for a burial of someone I don't know?

Not to mention the red tape mess it would create if the government did get involved in burial subsidies. Then you'd be required to deal with all the different religious views to avoid discrimination cases. And I am sure there'd be more than a couple additional regulations regarding government handled dead disposal

Who cares, they're dead. Shouldn't be be spending money on, oh I don't know, living people?

You socialist piece of shit. You should go back to Russia. Only unborn babies and dead people should get a right to life and a right to money, respectively.
