3DMark05 score of 12,416 by single X1800XT

Man I was in such a good mood today, until now. This morning I got the highest 3dmark05 score I ever got with my system, I was SO happy, a gigantic whopping 4010, and then this guy comes along...

Lol. Don't feel bad. 99.9% of gamers/overclockers will never get as high as Sampsa, with current gen hardware that is.

Agreed, it's a 1 in a million chance of having the right card, the right tools, the right cooling & the right amount of sanity. 12k is impressive but I reckon that a overclocked ASUS 7800GT Dual would better it and without exotic cooling too.

This is what I want to see before I see that score as reputable:

one with ONLY the items available to your average enthusiast (ie no LN2, ATI Special Tools or cherry picked cards)
with a card that people can actually BUY!

Very nice... I've noticed over the past 4 years that when cards score over 10,000 in the latest version of 3DMark they can handle pretty much any game that's available. We're almost there now with this generation. Maybe a spring '06 refresh will take us there.

Wow, that's still pretty amazing. I persionally would like to see what two of these things in crossfire with a super OC would do, along with a pair of 7800 GTXs super OC'd and in SLI, put an FX-57 on phase change and OC to 3.2GHz and you could probably break 20K with either setup, ah, if only i had the money.

Turtle only did that in emails (personal)... In threads he was actually less annoying. It was his endless spread of FUD and ofcourse being the king of FUD and laready twice banned Zinn2b and Intelia led to his (aka David) demise...
