just go to nvidia.com download the nforce platform drivers and the geforce drivers.. first install nforce drivers than the geforce drivers.. although its really better to do this when you first install xp. your score should be 5000+ now

I installed all nforce drivers and motherboard bios from MSI. Score jumped to:

3dMark05 score: 4665
GT1 - Guys with guns - 20.5fps
GT2 - Forest thing - 13.7fps
GT3 - Balloon and dragon - 23.1fps

CPU score: 4405
Test1 - 2.1fps
Test2 - 4.0 fps

But reality, you say that I should have 5000+? Is there still something that's going wrong?

my rig-
see sig

i get over 5200 points.

Remember nick, he is not running at Ultra speeds. 370/1000 is still slower than 400/1100

im aware, but its not 600 points slower.

what drivers are you using ? lets not forget some nvidia drivers are tweaked just to show good scores on 3dmark  for example, the 65.73 drivers are some of the best for performance in games on the 6800series but give a brutal result on 3dmark.

Wait, the latest drivers are the 66.93s, shouldn't all higher-numbered drivers always give better performance?

hmmm...i may disagree with some others, but that score sounds just about right for your system. 4600 is about what i'm expecting with mine!

May be you can Help I Need it.
I'm scorring 2200's in 3dmark05 I have all the latest drivers system spec is below. the only thing that I did not replace with this upgrade is my case and PSU. My case temps are great 29-32C CPU 34-42C GPU 43-61C that should all be fine. I have a 400watt PSU 25a on the 12v buss. genaric brand the 12volt buss however seams low 11.35-11.09VDC. like I said I have not replaced this yet and she will be pissed about anouther $100.00 (married with children) will it help?

Sparky, I have about the same specs as you besides the PSU and the HD(I have raptor 74 gig) My evga 6800 GT is oc'd to 420/1120 and I have an NV5 arctic cooling silencer on it. I score 5471 on 3dMark05. You should be scoring MUCH higher in my opinion. Are you using the 1T command rate and what are your memory timings? Are you in agp8x mode? Do you have latest bios (1008) and latest vid driver (66.93)? Seems low 11.35 volts? IS LOW! lol Your temps are gr8. I would venture to say that a quality PSU would help, but you have other issues as well. Need more info

JBDan
Memory 1T 2-3-2-5 that should be good. AGP apature 256 meg 8X. The system is very stable I ran Folding@home for 14 hour no probloms CPU stedy100% 61C. all drivers are uptodate. running doom3 timedemo demo1.demo FPS is 41 @1600X1200
aquamark is low also 25233.

hmmm. Try this: Go to your Nvidia Control Panel and : Most importantly make sure "Vertical Sync" is OFF. Also make sure your AA and AF settings are set to "APPLICATION-CONTROLLED" Also make sure "Hardware Acceleration" is set to "SINGLE DISPLAY MODE"- Force mipmaps should be set to "NONE" -Trilinear Optimization should be set to "ON"- "Image Settings" should be set to "QUALITY."
"Ansitropic mip filter opt" should be set to "OFF" and "Ansitropic sample opt" should be set to "ON"- Now run your benchies and see what happens GLuck🙂 Changing these values will not harm your card-> just write down your present settings on paper if you need to go back! BTW 41 FPS is good in the DOOM Demo@ 16x12. Are your settings on HIGH or ULTRA HIGH?

Hey JBDan I found the VSync, AA, and AF settings and set them to your setting, but where are the rest? Thanks.

I have the Nvidia icon in my system tray. I just left click it and hit "Nvidia Display"(it shows my monitor name and I select it). Click "Performance settings" then put a check in the box that says " Show advanced settings." Hit "apply" and you will see them. 🙂

I tried all of that most was set already.no change still low. other thing that I noticed was in Doom3 16X12Ultra FPS 42 and at 1278X1024 Ultra FPS is about the same is that correct?
