Anyhow, the whole point was I was being facetious like the people here making fun of cows floating away and such.

It does suck to get floodwaters like that but there isn't much you or I can do to stop it. It's not like it doesn't flood there every year. Not to this extreme, true, but no one forces people to live there. Just like no one forced Florida residents to live there but I think it's silly when I see people pointing to more articles yet again where a hurricane has flattened stuff there.

Uhh.. yes, they do. And uhh yes, they do sometimes in the states here too if they are fairly recent immigrants. Went to a BBQ cookout from someone that works under my dad. My dad is the vice president of the IT department for West Tele. So anyhow, when we get there we find out that everything was cooked over dung chips. Yah, and this guy has a fancy house, fancy clothes, several expensive cars that I don't and he still chooses to eat sh~t.

Oh yah, and I was talking about when someone made the joke, " At least it will clean the place up. " and then got called a racist. He was refering to tons of water would clean an area out. Well, not really flood waters as they leave a bigger mess then when they started but he was talking about a water, not a place. I was then expounding upon it cause I was watching discovery channel the other day and they were pointing out how the MAJORITY of the population in India revers the rat, goes to temples with them, lets them eat them. Sure it's a part of their religion but I still find it gross. I have a right to my opinion thinking that eating food cooked with poop and sharing a dinner table with rats is gross. And no. NO ONE FORCES them to do these things. It's a conscious decision to use poop for kindling. Use grass, or something else. It's not like India is some massive desert or area without much wood "like the midwest in America" where burning fuel becomes hard to find and needing to use poop chips is a must. Nope, they do it because they LIKE IT. They even do it here because they like it.

I saw the show on the discovery channel too, numbnuts. Nowhere in there did they say the majority of Indian temples have rats in them. And I'm Indian and my wife has been to that particular temple. Its not the MAJORITY of India who revers the rat and eats with them in the temple, its ONE VILLAGE in the state of Rajasthan. The vast majority of Indians would be grossed out by it.

And seriously do some research before you come to a biased conclusion. There isn't any timber to spare in India. Those people build their houses out of concrete masonry due to such small amounts of available timber. And you really think its possible to start/maintain a fire on nothing but grass? Have you ever gone camping? Grass burns away in seconds.

People die every day. 635 people dead in one day in one place in the world is a small small small percentage of the people that die every day. Grab your local paper and look through the obits. Add them up. Look at the coverage for your paper. Now use that for square milage and guesstimate an average. It will astound you how many people die every day and if they are lucky they get an obit.
