Good. 360 > ps3

ummm no...

price doesnt mean something is better. people can afford to buy an arcade for 200 vs 300 for the 80gb ps3..

if they knew that 80gb ps3 could do more than there 200$ xbox, do u think they would make that decision?

i currently own a ps3 and a wii.. and soon to order the 360.. and it sux that people can say that silly stuff. one is not better than the other. its how you use it

same here, I own a ps3 and a wii.. If money were no object, I'd have a 360 too.. but it is. So I don't.

... okay, the wii is my gfs.. but it's hooked up to my TV!

Of course one is better than the other, but it varies on a person to person basis. 😛

Also, I'd like to know where you can find an 80GB PS3 for $300.

My mistake..
new nowhere.

used ebay 🙂

Hoooray for 360 fanboy's everywhere!!!!!!!

In all seriousness this isn't hard to believe with the arcade version currently holding the least expensive price point this holiday season.

The US market is extremely price-sensitive, and the 360 hit a couple of very nice price points ($200, $300). I'm not surprised at all that it ran rings around the PS3.

Black Friday also saw some great bundle and gift card deals for the $199 360, with nothing much offered for the $399 PS3.

$199 is a great price for the 360, and all you need to play everything from Fallout to Gears if you don't care about DLC (or going deaf from DVD whine 😉 ).

Sony's going to be a distant third in the US again until they decide to lose money and drop the price.

which probaly will not happen.

The people who step into fanboy flamewars with talk about how all systems are good so let's sing kumbaya around the fire are almost as annoying as the biased commenters that they're lecturing.

The idea that one system can't be overall "better" than another is hippie BS.

im saying that one system is not better than the other because they both appeal to different crowds. in terms of a selling point. the 360 mops up the ps3 yes

but in terms of what you can do with them, the ps3 mops up the 360.

you cant compete with the 360.. when the cheapest ps3 is still 400. thats 200bux towards games and whatnot for the 360 user.

This isn't exactly as open and shut as you're making it out to be - especially now that BR-D players are falling dramatically in price.

Not suprised they are moving a lot of 360's, $200 is a very attractive price for a lot of people and the 360 game selection is drawing a lot of new customers in. Why pay $400 to play Fallout 3 or Prince of Persia on a PS3 when you can play the exact same game on a $200 system? My 2 cents.

Edit: Not factoring in exclusives like Gears of War 2 which are enough to convince someone to buy the system (Myself included 😀)

ehhh the ps3 can still double as a blu-ray player/HTPC
with the ability to upgrade the HDD

I like my PS3 more as an HTPC than my old HTPC 😛

You can play movies through the Xbox, though admittedly not Bluray. It does have Netflix however.

You can upgrade the hard drive on the Xbox also.
