Are they even going to sell the 3090 anymore? I don't see any point to that existing if the 3080 Ti is effectively the same with 4 GB less memory and $500 cheaper.

If this is true the only card to lose value faster than a 3090 is the 2080 Ti which saw a $700 drop as soon as the 3070 was announced. I suppose if we added an element of time into the comparison the 3090 could come out worse.

3090 may end up being the most rare nVidia card ever.

I figured they just wait until AMD released their competing product and then drop the price of the 3090 to maintain their desired price gap. It's not like they haven't done it before.

Day one for sure. The question will be how long for it to stabilize. As we know, Ampere stock is still non-existent, and we are going on 2 months since they became available.
There's no way I will getting this card anytime after it's announced. I can try and dream but it won't happen. I've been meaning to redo my build at some point and if the 3080ti rumors are true then I can keep my current monitor for now.

But it does not look like I'll have something other than a 1080ti until summer time 2021 if I'm lucky.

I remember getting the current card I have now, it was difficult the first month. After that, I could easily add it to cart from any shop on a weekly basis.

Actual AMD reviews by third parties will be out soon hopefully in December and then they will be forced to drop the price of the 3090 IF they actually go forward with releasing of a 3080Ti in that January time frame.
