saying something like this seems pretty one-sided linking that game only. 260 sli wins bigtime in world in conflict, yet for some reason CF doesn't seem to be working on that game.

That's the only reason I decided to bite the bullet and get the x2. At 2560x1600 it just dominates the competition for the price. At lower res it really doesn't seem to be worth it unless you like lots of AA or only upgrade every couple years.
 
I'm loving my x2, but it's turning out to maybe be a $2000 purchase rather than a $550 one. Really thinking about a 3007 from Dell atm, because the x2 can crank anything at 1920x1200 with 16xaa & 8xaa.

I hear ya, I intended on "just" buying a CPU to upgrade my system. Next thing I know I'm staring at a room full of boxes from newegg for an entirely new system build. And wondering WTF happened.
