Sorry if the mods dont approve of this hot deal. I thought this is important because Tonight, Crhistmas Eve a cop was shot because he was investigating a crime in Irving TX. If anyone has any info on a suburban with this licence plate or close to this please contact the Irving Police Department. The Explorer is reported to also have 2 Marine Corp decals on the vehicle. I think it would be a very hot deal and christmas present for this cops family if his attackers are found. Thank you...
Merry Christmas and Safe Holidays.

Mods If Im banned for this thats fine as long as at least one person sees this and is aware of it!

This post gets my award for off topic post of the year.

HiveTyrant, I know your intentions are good but posting this on a hot deals forum website? Gimme a break. If you really wanted to make a difference, you'd get out of your house and start scouring the relevant area for information. You really want to help those cop's families out, do that.

iluvdeal, I did do that, I was looking for an hour tonight after i left my grandparents house for christmas eve. This hits very close to home for me as my uncle is a cop with the Irving PD and I used to work at the Oshmans it occured at. The whole time I was driving I was looking for this vehicle. Im not asking for much but i know how people are by nature more then willing to lend a helping hand(look at the food drive threads). If people are informed they will look, and I know for a fact some people are from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Heres the Website to Channel 8 for more info.

Happy Holidays..

Gosh you guys are cold-hearted. This thread belongs right where it's at, not because it's a hot deal, but because more eyes will see it here. Leave this guy alone, he is doing a good deed.

Merry Christmas!

Go away Hive. Although the intention was good, I don't think everyone would appreciate me posting "crime solvers" info for every cop shooting in southeast DC (and believe me, there are plenty).

I think this definitely does NOT belong here. And i don't see why a cop's death would warrant posting even if it did (just because he's a cop) because there's all kinds of tragedies in the world. What about the kids going to bed hungry and being mistreated? Some are dying right now. I just don't get it when a cop's death in the line of duty is deemed something more important than certain other things. Just my brief opinion. vroom

i dont think ANYONE said you should search for this guy yourself: what they said was search for the appropriate FORUM to post this type of message at! There are forums specifically created for off topic posts, which are widely read

you can also post to usenet forums (go to www.deja.com)

just because this is a "noble" issue, it does not belong in any way here

Oh my God...

No, it can be posted although it should be locked.

Spread the word.

It all helps.

I was in Dallas earlier tonight, I passed a white suburban with two stickers on window(not sure if I could say they were USMC tho) on side of road near( can't remember street name) it was by Old town market (something like that, it had a Target and was across street from an Exxon is all I remember)at around 9:15-25pm.

You don't like it don't read it, and certainly don't post just to rag on someone.

If it wasn't in this forum or in the Technical Support Forum I wouldn't have seen it.

I say good going Hive. after having my bacon saved by cops on several occasions (ex-EMT-P) I realize that not all cops are walking phalluses(sp?)

Very tragic but it really don't belong in Hot Deals. It should be posted in Off Topic where it can get the kind of attention it probably deserves and in Hot Deals it's not going to get that attention.

Here's hoping that they catch these bastards. It's a whole different level of criminal behavior to shoot a cop.

yeah... it may not belong here, but i'll tell you one thing: i don't read OT posts because they are OT. If you want exposure, and this deserves exposure, you don't post in a forum that is barely ready. He posted one message. There are more posts complaining about his one message than there otherwise need to be. sometimes its better to just shut your mouth than post your opinion.

---

Your problem may be that you don't read the entry page. As of the time I checked, it listed a total of 25,791 posts in Hot Deals and 32,817 posts in Off Topic. If you want a bigger audience, you are in the right forum.

Now I know what forum I never want to have anything to do with... What kind of anal rententives would be so negative as to moan about where this is posted? It was posted during a time of emotion and with a sense of immediacy. I mean, have a heart.

:p

I have to listen to enough whining in real life...

Well said Isla. I'm sure most of you bastards are happy now that it has been moved to Off Topic..... Now get whatever it is out of your ass and try to be a bit helpful next time. Geeeeez....

People don't want to hear the bad stuff at a time such as this. I'm sure that's why many of them (conciously or not) spend all their time in HD. Same goes for OT and a few others. Disagree w/ me if you want to, but you won't change my mind about it. I live in SA, so I'll keep an eye pealed. Pretty sure they'll avoid the cities though (unless they were/are REALLY high).

the 'hot deals' members disgust me. they are wretched little people and i refuse to be a part of them. they wish only to embellish themselves and don't care about others. they post deals only so that someone will post a deal that they can use- they are not a community. how can you tell a guy that what he's doing is wrong when he's only trying to help. *sigh*
shows you the kind of people that lurk there.
