sad that they had to bust at all. how many millions of tons of cigs and alc do they sell there😛

No comparison - tobacco and alcohol are more dangerous, and often to people other than those using them ie. secondhand smoke and drunk driving.
Actually, it's a very good comparison... heh.. here we go.

There is no logical reason why alcohol, a very powerful, mind altering drug that causes thousands of deaths a year is legal when other drugs, some of them much less potent, are against the law.

It can't be because the drugs are unhealthy. It can't be because they make you do crazy sh!t. It can't be because they're addictive.

It's all hypocritical bullsh!t. Basically, there is no reason for some drugs being illegal and others not. You can mention the "protect you from yourself" reasons all you want, but they don't make sense.

Well, because of tobacco, america was able to squeak by in the early days, and alcohol is a classic.

But yeah, a line has to be drawn, and I would think they would legalize more recreational drugs, or ban cigs and beer~~

Pure MDMA is really quite harmless. Notice I said pure. It's just hard to find pure pills nowdays.

Pure MDMA is really quite harmless.

If another dancetard on pure MDMA waves glowsticks in front of my face at the next club I go to, I will punch them in the face.

Pure MDMA = bloody nose.

I think you really forget to realize that drugs like X, Acid, Coke, Meth, Crack and Heroin have no other use or value other than getting high.

You don't sit down at dinner and wonder what year of crack goes good with a nice Strip Steak.

While Cigars, Cigs and Alcohol have their negatives, they have alternative uses outside of being used strictly getting high or altering your state.

coke - local anethetic (sp?) - still used occasionally for this prupose. although mostly replaced by lidocane /novocaine / etc/

heroin is a bayer trademark. it used to be sold as a heavy painkiller. kind of like morphine++ (same family)

so you can't say they have no use.
Although meth and X are pretty fvcking evil.

Nope... I'm not forgetting that at all, but I think that is a matter of personal viewpoint, aka opinion, and I don't agree with your analysis at all.

That's just simply from your point of view.

What about the Shaman that takes peyote, mushrooms or LSD? They aren't taking it to just get high. Well, they are, but not from their point of view. It has much deeper meaning than that.

I realize that there are people who drink alcohol for the taste or whatnot, but they are the few. You drink alcohol to alter your state of conciousness, period. That is the only "purpose" it serves, as far as drinking goes. What other uses do cigarettes and alcohol have other than altering your state? 😕

It's the same with cigarettes, but their effects are so subtle that you don't have people stumbling around doing stupid sh!t while high on nicotine, but they are certainly high.

Besides, intent shouldn't have anything to do with it. There are a lot of people who buy guns for hunting or target practice. There are a lot of people who buy guns to kill people. Doesen't mean guns should be illegal.

LSD never hurt anybody... Well, you might be able to throw yourself off a cliff while you're tripping, but you could do the same while drunk.

Are you saying that bayer owns the name heroin?
lol, bad wording. I think he means that Bayer were the ones who came up with C21H23NO5, AKA Heroin.

Why does someone choose a nice red wine to go with a good steak? Why does someone enjoy a fine cognac with a fine cigar?
It's all about taste, if we weren't drinking, eating and smoking to make ourselves feel better then we would all drink water and eat something similar to the cream of wheat stuff in the matrix that contains everything that the body needs to survive. I'm not saying that someone eating steak is the same as someone smoking meth, but it is all about altering the state of mind.
An interesting side note, the accidental creation of LSD was part of a pharmaceutical company's goal to create the perfect vitamin for humans.

No, they actually own the name IIRC. chemical name is what.. diamorphine or 2-diacetyl morphine or something like that.

Cocaine is used in rhinoplasty - it's a schedule 2 substance, which alone negates your argument. Then there's marijuana, which for some reason is still schedule 1 despite having governmentally recognized medical value - probably a fed vs. state thing. Further, marijuana has much of the same aesthetic value that cigars and alcohol have, depending where you go; there is a tasting called the "Cannabis Cup" held in Amsterdam annually, for example, complete with prizes for the winning strains.

That sucks if it's pure MDMA. A pretty harmless drug that many people enjoy.

If it's truly harmless (or less harmful than tobacco/alcohol), then it should be LEGAL.

Legislating morality is BAD.

Ah, yeah, diacetylmorphine. So they came up with the name heroin? Interesting.

So basically it's turned into Ketchup, Vaseline, Band-Aid and Rollerblades.. lol

Haha, that's really funny.
Bayer Heroin.
Just think, it's quite possible that somebody's grandmother or great-grandmother said something along the lines of "Do you need me to pick anything up from the store when I go and get my heroin?"
😀

Or, "Damn this cough.. Can you pick me up some heroin?"

lol...

Just goes to show you how much things change. I bet in another 50 years, things will come full circle.
