Are those pure mdma pills? For all we know, the pills could have not been pure or could have been fake.

And they said they had already found 1.5 tons this year. TONS. And this is just the stuff they found. I know the drug market is huge, but I can't see how there is a demand for that much in a country with a population of 20.2 million. I realize there are a lot of tourists as well, but that is a lot of ecstasy!
 
Thats insane but if the people who got caught with that much are probably going to be happy to go to jail and avoid the real owner of the stuff.

No comparison - tobacco and alcohol are more dangerous, and often to people other than those using them ie. secondhand smoke and drunk driving.

BS, ex can and often does kill on the first dose. (I've met several parents and siblings of people who have died from taking ex on thier first try.

While MDMA itself might not be all that dangerous (I would think it is but I have nothing to back that up with), taking a tab of x certainly is. Unlike tobacco or alcohol you really have no idea what they put it those pills.
