Nope, just someone who believes that cops are no different than the rest of society - in every job, there are some employees who are jerks no matter what, and there are others who honestly believe in doing their job right.Originally posted by: Aimster

i've made it through life so far without ever needing there help with exception of asking for directions but they were not any more helpful than a civilian. As far as I can remember I can say that I've only had negative interactions with them and I cannot really see ever needing a highway cop. I have AAA and they can do whatever it is I'd need a highway cop to do. The more I think about it the more it seems that I'd only ever have a need for police if it was a detective and I needed an investigation into a family related matter. So other than that I'll stick to my statement and say fvck the police.

Well I hope you NEVER get into a situation where you need one. I know that I haven't really ever needed one except when my car was being broken into. Just happened that a cop drove by and busted the thugs as they broke into my car.
Go on thinking that you will never need them. One night when some robber is in your house robbing you, don't start praying for the police to show up. You already said you don't need em.
BTW, they have a sh*tty job. They do the job most people would never want to. They do deserve respect. Yeah there are bad apples in the bunch but for the most part all the cops I have had experiences with have been very nice and friendly. Even when they gave me a ticket.

I've never been pulled over, and I've been driving for THREE YEARS. I have many friends who have gotten tickets, and they were ALL for valid reasons (speeding, disregard red, disregard stop sign, etc.).
Methinks you're bitter b/c you get pulled over for doing something stupid like not using a turn signal.
It's the law to use a turn signal. If you use one, a cop won't pull you over for it.

After the third time asking I would have started fvcking with them. Told him that they would not fit in your trunk with all the cocaine and dead people you have in there. The gloves are so that I didn't leave any fingerprints at the crime scene. The hat was so that your mom's neighbors would not recognize me after I left her house from a massive boinkfest.
You don't have to answer their questions. It's called Miranda vs. Arizona. Stop acting like cops are your worst enemies. They're doing their jobs, and you obviously aren't doing yours as an American citizen (i.e. knowing your rights when being interrogated).Originally posted by: gigapet

I have no problem with getting pulled over if I am breaking the law. I do have a problem with getting stopped while walking with a black friend and I do have a problem with cops feeling they can interrogate me b4 they arrest me.
the order goes
arrest me
then interoggate me
not the other way around
That may be , so far. Here's hoping life doesn't take any unexpected turns on you.Originally posted by: gigapet

actually most police I've met are cocky asshats that parade around in there cool crown victoria thinkin they are hot sh!t and should pullover and harass anyone they like. They are typically the kid no one liked in school and they are typically not very smart so they love to abuse there power and harass people to make up for being harassed when they were younger. I grew up in a virtually crimeless town(population: aprox 25,000) in suburban neighborhood and we had more cops than was ever necessary. They were bored so they would come up with reasons to pull you over or harass you. That is BS and should not be taken lightly. If a cop is bored he isnt needed so then cut the staff and save the tax payers some money.
Woah woah, wait a second. I am planning on a career in law enforcement when I graduate from college, and it's my dream to spend part of that career as a police officer.Originally posted by: waylman
Sad story....it's too bad that most cops are morons. Think about it....if you had half a brain, would you want to be a cop? I think not. These guys do have hard jobs. Unfortunately, they are for the most part, idiots.

typically not very smart? maybe in your neck of the woods but in my town you have to have a BS before you can apply for a cop job. Its so competive around here for cop jobs there is a waiting list and many of the applicants have Masters. I would say that in my town the cops are probably smarter than you.
"plee"ing the fifth is the act of not stating any information which might incriminate you, and is most often used by witnesses in a court of law. It has ZERO relevance on the road when you're pulled over for a traffic offense.Originally posted by: Ylen13
next time ask them to call there field supervisor(watch commander) also i personally would plee 5th and refuse to answer any question.

lol pwned!
I don't think gigapet really understands the difference between asking a few questions and a real police interrogation. Especially since he can't even spell the word correctly.
