27 years old and NEVER been to a dentist...

The weird thing about my teeth is that they seem perfectly fine. I don't have snaggle teeth (overlapping teeth, lol) I never had a cavity. My gums don't bleed. They're white, so white my girlfriend thought i was stealing her white strips. I rarely floss and I only brush one time a day, which is in the morning. I also ate the living shit out of candy as a kid, now, not so much. I don't drink much soda. My breath doesn't stink..well I haven't been told it ever did. I could bite down through a jawbreaker in one bite...

Does this mean I'm bionic?

let it be known... that I seriously hate you and am currently plotting how I can successfully take your jaw and place it in my skull.

You must probably just take extremely good care of your teeth. Though yeah that is not something easy to achieve. Even for someone who brushes 1-2 times a day it's possible to get cavities if you happen to keep missing the same hard to reach spot, or what not.

Cavities don't always hurt though, so maybe you go there and you have like 10. I'd go get a checkup, does not cost anything anyway.

You might just be lucky. Some people are genetically predisposed to not building up plaque or now allowing the bacteria that cause cavities to flourish.

Maybe that's you, or maybe you're headed for a fall.

I find that even if you have bad breath, no one will tell you unless it's a dentist or doctor and you ask about it.

It didn't look like I had many cavities, but xray showed like 16 because they were between teeth 🙁
that's what I'm saying. this guy thinks he's bullet proof, but it takes time for things to get to toothache stage, and by then the cavity can be a crater.

You might simply have good teeth. I got my dad's teeth, so I had gaps and a couple teeth missing - I'm still getting implants and corrections after braces. On the other hand, my brothers have good teeth from my mom. One of them had to have an underbite corrected, but otherwise their teeth are better than mine.

I have absolutely horrible teeth. I've had lots of cavities, and they've always been yellow. Nothing I do whitens them, I've used whitening toothpaste my whole life 2x a day.

It's genetic. I'm 26 and I go to the dentist about once every 5 years for a checkup and i've never had a cavity or anything. I had braces when I was younger, but my teeth weren't that crooked beforehand.

where do you live that going to the dentist doeesn't cost anything?

I'm 30 and I went a lot when I was a kid, the last time when I was 16 and had my bottom 2 wisdom teeth removed. Then I went in the Navy, and they wanted to pull the other 2 out, I left before that happened. No dental problems int he intervening 12 years and no dental visits. I do pay $24 a month for dental insurance though. But I feel that is in case I get busted in the mouth and lose one - cheap fix vs having to pay retail for my grillz.

it's amazing what brushing your teeth twice a day can do and eating somewhat healthy/reasonable foods.

If you don't smoke, you may never need to go to the dentist absent some wierd infection. I went for the first time in 2 years and dentist said everything was great, but to keep an eye on a developing infection in a back molar.

GET YOUR WISDOM TEETH PULLED!

I guess I'm really lucky, I'm 47 and never been to the dentist. Never had a toothache, no cavities so far. Teeth are pretty straight, not perfect, but close. I've wondered if that came from being loose a lot during my teenage years, I used to fight often. I am getting more paranoid about them as I get older, I brush and floss pretty religiously now.
