Same here. If this is true this completely makes all of the 1080p 120hz screens irrelevant, which was the only resolution previously available at 120hz.

Of course i'd rather run 2560 resolution on a much improved IPS/PLS panel, because the quality is -way- better, even if it is 60hz.

Can't wait for these to pop up in the states!

It's unfortunately not being sold at all (edit: anymore). By anyone, as far as we can tell. They stopped manufacturing this specific version when March rolled around.

3D aside, I basically have a true ~120hz, IPS, 1440p monitor.

Ditto. Passive 3D is 60Hz, with a polarizer to direct each line to the opposite eye. In essence rather than going to 120Hz they cut the vertical resolution in half, allowing them to maintain 60Hz. So I seriously doubt this display can accept 120Hz, nor can the panel actually operate at 120Hz.

my LG and the sister viewsonic passive 3D displays are 75hz

I currently use a Catleap Q270 monitor, with a serial number of Q270SE2B1LP0350. Bought off of ebay. Any one of these, but these are all "2C" panels now; that is, the electronics are not capable of 66+hz. The panels themselves are.

Nice! I am hoping more panels like this are released more industry-wide.
