I read the page on high-density incompatability but still find it hard to believe that a BX chipset can't handle it. All my motherboards are on the NO list (I live in Intel hell). If anyone gets this and tries it in a "non-approved" board; please post. Thanks

<< 256MB @ 133MHz and 7.5ns = not CAS2 >>

Unless its Corsair. As of September 11, Corsair makes 256MB PC133 Cas2 7.5ns RAM modules. Expensive, but it exists.

Both me and my roomate are running this stuff....I have a BH6 so I only register 128mb of it (plan to upgrade soon) but my roomate with his T-Bird is running it at 133mhz no problem. Seems to be decent quality stuff. We got ours at ComputerSuperSale for about the same price.

Got mine today for my KT7,Duron @900, set to CAS2. Seems to be working great alongside my 128mb of Crucial PC133! I guess the reason I can do CAS2 is because the fsb is running at 100? What the heck do I know about this overclocking stuff!

Stay away from JCShopper . I bought a NEC 256MB module from them, found out it's not compatible with my motherboard after I put it in my system. Called Tech support, the tech support dude told me to go ahead return it and they will give me a 100% refund. Sent the RAM back, called customer service and they said I'd be charged a 20% restocking fee. Also when I bought the RAM there wasn't an "incompatibility list" on their website but their customer service rep insisted there was one. What a bunch of lying bastards!! :|!!

Hey guys!
I would not recommend those people who are using BX-Chipset especially Soyo 6BA+IV, because I tried it on my computer. The system detects 128mb instead of 256. Btw, Jcshopper's company policy states that any cancellation of any order will be charged a 10% even the product has not been ship. So beware!!!

Hi EvilRen:
Did you see "Syncmax" on your ram? Because the one that my friend bought was Syncmax with NEC chips!!!

EvilRen,

If you are referring to these 256MB PC-133 (32x64) SyncMax from JCShopper:
I bought it from these guys more than a month back when the prices were $200+.
They had a compatibility page warning just like it is today.

The 20% restocking fee has always been there. I wouldn't trust their Tech Support to
override that policy as evidenced by their Customer Service.

Mine says NEC chips as well.

I couldn't get it running at CAS2, but am happy with them nonetheless...kinda, the price drop sucks for me bigtime:( ..but good for all you guys:D

DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!! I just spoke to L.T. Kim (the chief distributor for SyncMax in the US) and he said that JCShopper somehow manages to mess up more chips than ANY OTHER syncmax reseller. He attributes this to how the JCShopper shipping department is not static free while packing these chips. They even (and I know this from firsthand experience) ship RAM chips all piled up into one bag. That's right, you buy 5 chips and they are coming in one bag and will be hitting each other during transit. When I tried to return 2 of the 5 sticks (b/c they were busted, they CHARGED me a 20% fee. They promised to credit my card for that messup, but its been like 6 months. I tried to convince L.T. to sell directly to me, but he said that I would have to buy a minimum of 100 sticks a week to buy from him. DAMN! Yeah, so in short... as good a deal as this sounds like, it is worth your while to pay $30 more to get RAM from somewhere else.

check out that "Other " syncmax vendor... you'll find that they are owned by the same guys that own jcshopper. Hmm, very interesting...

Weird two different companies but the same Customer Service Number.

Buyer Beware.

Well, the one I bought was Syncmax/NEC PC100 256MB stick. Bought it back in May or June. At that time they didn't have any incompatibility list, all they said was it's compatible with Athlon motherboards. So I figured it should run on my ASUS K7V, right? WRONG!!! Anyway, I am just trying to point out that JCShopper is run by a bunch of crooks. Stay Away from them!!

Anyone else received their ram and have any troubles. I thought everything was ok (and maybe it's just coincidental)but I was having lots of lockups and misc errors and after I removed the 256mb and left the Crucial 128mb pc133 everything is very stable.
I initially thought it was because of building a new system and getting the bugs out of hardware/software but things cleared up immediately after removing.
Kt-7 duron at 900mhz(100x9 @1.725) , fastrack raid with two 40gig maxtors, Ati radeon ddr 32mb, athlon apprvd 300w ps.

Are there any shareware programs that put the memory thru rigorous test to check it for errors?
