Good question. I have a Gateway laptop and the memory that I bought from BestBuy were about 4mm taller than the original. I got em in there allright, but I had to bend some tabs and use a little force. >>



What model Gateway? I have a Solo 9550 series, I ordered this module Thursday, was in my laptop this morning. Works fine, same size physically as the old module. I should have ordered two but I didn't think that until now!

Yeah, I was worried that the coupon would expire while i counted my pennies trying to figure out if I could *actually* afford this upgrade. Figured that was the cheapest I had seen notebook RAM in quite sometime and I was dying for a 256 or 512 for the iBook I managed to grab during the CC clearout days.......

Thanks again for the deal! It should be here on Monday, so I'll let you all know if customer service was right and it actually works in my machine!
