Hello All ---

I am installing WinXP on a 250gb SATA2 HD and when it comes time to format/create partition on the HD, it is only listed as ~ 130gb. I did press F6 during the install and load the 3rd party drivers (SATA). As a note, the HD's size is listed correctly in the bios.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to correct?

Thanks for any and all replies.

Man it has been a while since we've had one of these. 48-bit LBA strikes again.

Just need a slipstream XP CD with SP2 pre-installed. When you get to the partition section it's going to show as like 238,000 or so (correct)

I remember this PITA with like 160 gig drives before SP2 came out.. retarded :p
