250gb HD listed as 130gb during WinXP Install

Hello All ---

I am installing WinXP on a 250gb SATA2 HD and when it comes time to format/create partition on the HD, it is only listed as ~ 130gb. I did press F6 during the install and load the 3rd party drivers (SATA). As a note, the HD's size is listed correctly in the bios.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to correct?

Install SP2 and enable LBA in bios.

Just need a slipstream XP CD with SP2 pre-installed. When you get to the partition section it's going to show as like 238,000 or so (correct)

I remember this PITA with like 160 gig drives before SP2 came out.. retarded

Slip streaming is easy...Search the OS fom for nlite or slip streaming.
