.... which were entirely due to Obama and the democrats. That is a painful truth. I fear for the retirement accounts of all Americans now that the lunatics are going to run the asylum.

The markets recovered nicely under Obama.

In doing do, did they drive/pull up the middle class jobs and wages?

Is the sky falling yet? I expect more than a few political internet forums experienced heightened rates of suicide last night.

not convinced here guys.

'Congress will pass some bills I cannot sign,' he said, threatening to dust off a veto pen that he has used only twice in nearly six years.
And he hinted at executive orders that will enrage conservatives.
'I'm pretty sure I'll take some actions that some in Congress will not like,' he said. 'That's natural. That's how Democracy works.'

Why? Is that what happened in 2008 and 2012?

Probably. I haven't seen Spidey in a while. 😉

Just saying Republicans have garnered non-stop internet hate since the Bush years. To see them back in power, if only partially, must be collapsing a few of the weaker pyches out there.

Not convinced either, but it will be interesting. I have no doubt Obama will have to bust out the veto pen and the Democrats in the senate will have to bust out the fillibuster. But it's my understanding that Harry Reid was pocket-vetoing hundreds of house bills, including some Democrat and bi-partisan bills, as an attempt to basically be the overprotective Dad of the Democrats. It'll be interesting to see how they do on the Senate floor/on Obama's Desk.

yeah... it'll be nice to get people on-record about stuff like the Keystone pipeline.

Well I bet most of the voters were old White retirees that got these guys in office. Not that it matters, it's more of the same bullshit between Democrats/Republicans--two sides of the same coin.

The difference being that Dems are corrupted towards the few corps that contribute to them and are for the people otherwise, while GOP is corrupt toward the few corps that contribute to them and are for all corporations against the people anyway.

Stupidest post I've read today.

Well, based on all of the campaign pledges the Repub legislators have been mouthing off about, most notably jobs-jobs-jobs, I'm awfully curious as to how different their solution is going to be other than that tired old positively proven false Reagan-esque trickle down mantra the Bush-Cheney cabal instituted with disasterous effect (for the middle class and the poor of course). Babying the rich with banquets and feasts and hoping for table scraps to fall off the table for the middle class and poor won't cut it anymore. All I've been seeing and hearing the rich do is hoard their cash off-shore while waiting for the anti-regulatory pro-tax-cut-for-the-rich Repub-messiah-"president" to appear.

And I'm REALLY curious to see what the Repub legislators are going to do with closing the borders like they've been endlessly criticizing Obama for not doing.

And then there's that Ebola/terrorist/ISIS fear-fest that the Repubs cashed in on during their just completed election campaigns. Let's see and hear of their positive and well-laid out plans to keep those "Ebola-disease-laden ISIS terrorists" from coming in through our porous borders. lol

This is going to be fun, where the Repubs will now have to play defense and the Dems can attack their legislative agenda at will. Well, maybe not. The Dems aren't known for playing up the fear card like the Repubs do, nor are the Dems as masterful as the Repubs are at rumor-mongering and wide-spread expertly coordinated propagandizing.

Oh well, one can hope.

I can't find a reliable source on their tax reform plan. Apparently they want to cut taxes across the board but I don't see how that's going to help.

Maybe not suicide in the way we generally think of suicide. But I can think of a few here who vanished forever after a specific topic turned into a personal obsession and that obsession got smacked down by the public.
