It's probably your motherboard doing that. What kind of board are you using? With my Abit NF7-S I can use any multiplier on the XP-M 2600+ processor.Originally posted by: huesmann
Isn't the XP-M 2600+ supposed to run at 15x133? For some reason mine won't do that. It won't POST at anything above 12.5x. Right now I have it happily running along at 11x200, though. I could try for 11.5x or maybe even 12x or 12.5x.
Well, anyone running a 2600+ XP-M at 15x on an Epox EP-8RDA3+?Originally posted by: TheVoid

ok. Finally after some research online, it seems in someinstances, if you are installing a new mobo and chip over an existing XP installation you have to reinstall windows. Did that so far, and everything booted up. I am overclocking and testing my limits now.
For the voltage, i left it in the bios on Auto, and in windows Sandra and MBM5 says it's at 1.62. Kind of high for something that started at 1.4x volts right? I should put it back on manual and manually specify the voltage right?

Mushkin PC2700 512x2 mb ddr
MSI KT3 Ultra supports to XP 2600+
So can I get the chip and o/c it to alteast 2300?
CD
You may need a new mobo. I don't think you're going to be able to do much with that board.Originally posted by: clinthammer
