It's a mistake, the right price is 43 cents per battery, and they already know about it, (and are trying to pull it off the site! )but they did say they try to get their suppliers to honor offers, even mistakes. So there is a slight possibility that the orders will go through, but I doubt it. If they do it is a truly great deal though. They are not responsible though, just the supplier. So if you ordered 10, don't be surprised if you get 10 batteries for 4.30, which is not a terrible deal. If you get 240 batteries, I'd be surprised, but you never know.....

Hey can anyone else verify about that min order of $20? Also, how long can batteries last? I don't think I can use 20x24=480+ batteries in five years...

<EDIT>Just read the previous post. It is now .43 cents a battery. Oh well... fun while it lasted<\EDIT>

I just ordered 50 packs to reach the reported $20 minumum.... Came to $21.50. Lord knows I could never use 1200 batteries before they drain on their own, but for $21.50, I can be a rather popular person for a while. Lets see if they ever show up.

Watch out, the shipping charge is not included in the order. It is a rebate they will reimburse later. I do not know how reliable this is.

See this footnote before you click "ACCEPT"

* Does not include sales taxes, shipping costs and promotional rebates, unless otherwise specified.

WE'LL FOOT YOUR SHIPPING BILL!
When you're finalizing your order, make sure to choose "Ground" as your shipping method. Once you've received your product, call us at:

1-877-55-EQUAL (1-877-553-7825)
Or fax 1-877-54-EQUAL (1-877-543-7825)
Or email customerservice@equalfooting.com

Just let our Customer Advisors know what your shipping costs were, and we'll immediately cut you a check for that amount. You'll get your shipping costs back in just days.

who the fsck ordered 1200 batteries? buy buy buy
dealkillers is suck.
do you really need 1200 batteries or just regexp greedy?
they reimburse shipping
i think it will be funny when you get a bill for .43 x 1200 for batteries = $516.00 USD + shipping.

sorry if this seems like a flame, but personal expression of disbelief.

He bought 50 packs of 24...not 1200 batteries...so if they charged him .43 cents per battery...it'd still be the same price...just less batteries.

They just called me. It is a pricing error, and the price really is $0.43 *per* battery.

The 24 packs are $10.32

I would suggest calling them and canceling your orders.

This is a mistake plain and simple.

The UNIT is defined as 24 batteries per pack and the UNIT price is $0.43. If they ship less than that you are intitled to the difference or a refund. A contract was formed when they charged your card and shipped the product. (offer and acceptance) IF they shipped out a smaller quantity than explicitly ordered, you have the option of buying at the normal price or getting a full refund with no costs incurred to you.

The order for 1200 batteries was placed because there is a $20 min order (or so someone posted) so in order to reach $20, $20/$.43= One hell of a lot of batteries. I would hate to see the shipping cost on 1200 batteries.

IF you were in New York you could go to a Mets game and pass them out, though I hear they really prefer D batteries.

Waste of time. All these e-tailers always have a disclaimer to cover typos, etc. Don't bother you won't win.

I did this deal a couple of weeks ago, I was supposed to receive 50 packs of 24 but they sent 2 packs of 24 with 2 extra for a total of 50 batteries. I promptly sent them back to fastenal where they shipped them from to get a refund. Which reminds me that I need to check my credit card for refund.

They did not honor the misprice and will not honor it according to Brian at Fastenal.

They have Energizer Industrial Alkaline AA or AAA batteries listed for ~0.26 each. That's probably not a pricing error and still a good deal. Not sure if you have to order the 144 count case to get the price tho (~$38 for 144 alkaline batteries SHIPPED).

If they are 43 cents each, then the Amazon deal on Alkaline Duracell batteries is a far better deal. You can get 4 for only .99, or a package of 8 for 1.99 (two seperate deals).

Even Netmarket.com sells 24 Alkaline batteries for like $11.

Well let's see how it goes.. i go through alot of batteries around the house. heh. i also ordered 50 packs.. hopefully they don't send me 50 batteries. or it's going back.. these are good batteries. they are black and have a green stripe around them. It'll be interesting to have 1200 batteries.. but i would guess i would be able to use them all in about a year and a half.

Trike, I would cancel as asap as possible! You will now have to pay shipping to send them back for a credit. And I've already spoken with Fastenal concerning my order of 50 packs that I had to send back because they only sent 50 batteries and would not budge when I told them to honor their online price which he said was a mistake.

But on the bright side, they have known about this problem for at least 3 weeks after I first contacted them and since they have not fixed the price yet then you could make a justifiable claim that they are trying to scam folks. (That's not like Fastenal however, I have used them for years in the construction idustry and they are reputable)

Best of luck but I wouldn't waste my time.

Dear EF Member,

Thank you very much for using EqualFooting.

Since the time of your order for Energizer Industrial AA batteries from
Fastenal, we've noticed that the product description might have been
confusing. These batteries come in packs of 24 and are priced at $.43 per
battery, so the total comes to $10.32 for each package ordered. If you would
like to receive these batteries at a cost of $10.32/package, please email us
back and we'll have Fastenal send them to you right away.

If you've already received the batteries, or if you receive them in the next
few days and would not like to pay the amount listed above, please return
them at your earliest convenience.

Thanks again for using EqualFooting. If you need any additional information
or assistance, please do not hesitate to call our Advisor Center at
1-877-55-EQUAL (877-553-7825). We're available any time, day or night, and
we're more than happy to help you.

Best Regards,

Mike Cardinale

If you get the batteries and they charge yu full price, keep them. According to the UCC 2-206, their shipment indicates an acceptance of your offer thus a contract is formed at the old price. VERY simple. They can ONLY counter offer if they have not shipped.

They piss me off with the "confusing" crap. I have a receipt that shows that a PK is defined as 24 batteries and a PK costs 43 cents.
