Well these are "heavy duty" batteries which aren't alkaline meaning they won't last as long as the more expen$ive ones. Still at that price, it's hard to beat...might be good for photographers who use big flashes that eat AA batteries for breakfast.

Seems pretty legit to me... Shipping is free for ground orders for some unspecified time period... The company seems to be some supplier for small businesses such as construction companies etc etc... Looks like a hot deal for those who want them

UPDATE: Well the picture on the website barely shows that they are "Industrial Alkaline" I have a feeling they are EXACTLY like the Energizers alkalines you buy at Wal-Mart, only several times cheaper. :p

I've used these "Industrial" Energizer batteries at my work before. From what I can tell, they're just regular Energizers with a sleek black wrapping on them to make them seem like they're specially made for industry users. When I stole some and used them in my portable CD player, they did fine. I ordered 5 sets of 24; I hope it works out. Thanks for the deal!

I ordered some, but I bet that the price was meant for each battery, not each 24pk. Let the cancellations begin! Hope they honor it, though.

I just received the confirmation, and this is what it states:

Energizer Industrial Battery, volt or Size: AA, Type: Heavy-Duty, 24 per Package

There's supposed to be 24 per package, so the $0.43 must be per package, not per battery! (If it is, I'll be kicking up a stink about it!)

Yeah, I agree with those that say they are the same, just designated as Industrial so they can't be sold retail. Man, it is a crime what they charge for "retail" batteries. Anyhow, at this price, it HAS to be a pricing error. 43cents/pack SHIPPING INCLUDED is just ridiculous. Hell, the package weighs 8lbs. I ordered 2. Hope the order goes through. If not, oh well. I really don't need these.

I just ordered some too! 48 batteries for .86, how could you go wrong? But, I talked to a co-worker of mine and he said he ordered from this company a while back through an Anandtech posting, but he never got the batteries. He wasn't charged for them either. So, we'll see...

On the top right of the page it says:

Offer No. 264432
Posted On: 03/18/2000
Offer Expires: No Expiration

I dont really know how this place works but if the offer was "posted" in march, they would have had plenty of time to catch a pricing error. I cant wait for my 600 batteries :).

Perhaps this link at the site of fastenal.com, the supplier who is selling through the equalfooting.com link, will provide some information. Fastenal page

It appears that the price is supposed to be for a single battery, as their page lists the "Quantity Per Package" as 1, but mentions the "Bulk quantity" as 24. Perhaps the "bulk quantity" qualifies one for a discount?

In any event, I think I'll be getting 2 batteries, not 48.

Holycrap!

Just got a call from Fastnel they said there is a min. order of $20.00. I don't need that many batteries.
