I do. I don't have a problem with the diesel engines. I just have a problem with Audi's implementation.

Diesel engines obviously have a fuel efficiency and torque advantage in comparison to the normal petrol cars, but they're being gimped too much. The horsepower output on the R15 TDI was low as-is.

I don't understand how this is Audi's fault if they're being told to do such.

It made nearly 600hp and 800lb of torque, what more do you want? 1000hp/fb?

Sure the new one is down somewhat on power, exactly what isn't released yet from what I can see, but it does gain another gear, and is probably more efficient than the r15 being obviously better for endurance racing. It obviously didn't have any problems winning this year (I unfortunately missed the last part) so whats the problem?

Fucking Audi...

The race was amazing, though. The best I have ever watched.

LOL.

1) axel = fleabag?
2) troll

audi's engine designer for the le mans car, said something like "noise is energy. if you are making lots of noise, you are wasting energy. it's like having sex. the TDI is silent, it is very efficient, very sexy."

i'd have to re-watch "truth in 24" to get the exact quote...but you get the point.

There are two Porsche right in front of the Ferrari, not like he could have passed all three in that corner.

Here's some footage of Marc Gene in a 908 blocking the race winner from lapping him. At this point Gene was already a few laps behind.

Maybe he had orders from the team to slow the Audi down for his teammates?

Maybe you should just read this:

The regulations suck and, by extension, so does the engine. Your argument doesn't change anything: whether it was Audi's fault or that of the regulators, the new engine sucks.

I never said it was Audi's fault. That doesn't change the fact that the new engine sucks.

If Audi's engineer designed said that he's a lame asshole. Even in a race like this, an extra 0.05% extra efficiency from producing no noise won't translate into an extra lap without going to the pits. That, and his point is completely diminished by the fact that they had a problem with the fuel regulator and were only able to go 10 laps while Peugeot had no problem going 12.

I guess thats why hes an engineer for Audi working on multi-million dollar race cars and you are not...

Quite frankly even if you think the new engine sucks, look at the scoreboard....

this reminds me a lot of the 2t vs 4t for super/motocross debates back in the day.
