I don't have a strong opinion either way, but I do have a couple of quick thoughts:
I feel sorry for the husband. If he even considers getting back with her after this he deserves a Darwin award.
That 14 year old is one lucky sob.
If she gets locked up, I can only imagine the lesbo possibilities in prison!

I know one thing. You don't have the education to admit when you are wrong.
I do and I have.

Yes, you finally did grudgingly admit it.
I have no idea what I was wrong about - I admit it when I am. Perhaps you could remind me which statement I made in this thread was inaccurate. You certainly never pointed one out.
Thanks.

I'm glad at least one of your supporters can count. All the way up to 0.
In assuming you were right based on text as opposed to experience, that's where I think you were wrong.

The text represents an aggregation of experience that transcends what one single person can possibly observe on their own. I work on the basis of logic and science, not the basis of emotion. I have already illustrated why one person's experience cannot be construed or presented as universal fact. Is the text infallible? Of course not, but it certainly holds a lot more merit than one guy saying "Well all the girls I talked to said...."
If I'm in the wrong because I value a scientific study in a textbook over anecdotal evidence presented by one person, then I hereby admit to being wrong, because that is exactly what I believe.

I look at experience as the ultimate authority and do not trust books nor scientific studies. Perhaps in this case you might be 100% correct but studies can be outright wrong or biased themselves. Ever think that someone smart enough didn't think to perhaps only speak to those experts thom all have a certain biase as opposed to asking both ends of the spectrum and everything in between? It has been done before.
Read just about any material written about the facts of Jews from WWII countesy of Nazi Germany. They are a prime example of how expert facts can be full of dog piss.
Another example is stats. God I love stats. (sarcasm) How one can pretty much bend stats to say what they want it to say. It sounds impossible but really it's quite simple. It's called "spin". You can spin stats to say what you want based on your agenda. Just about any stat would do depending on what you want to say.
Hence I think experience is the ultimate authority.
I hope this explains why I think what I think.

I'd hit it... but IMO she needs to serve a good full sentence. If a man was in this situation he'd have the book thrown at him.
Very true.
