I don't think solar panels are feasible because I also want to game at night.

And even during the day I doubt id have enough power for 5 gaming laptops at once.

I want at least 5 players at once so I'll have a full team for games like Counter Strike 2.

I figured it would be an issue but did not realize it was THAT bad. Been a while since I took long exposure shots of the sky.

There are 15,000 active satellites in the sky today:

We will probably launch another 5,000 satellites worldwide this year!

The discontinued Chevy BrightDrop 600 EV delivery van has like 600cu ft of cargo volume. You can move a lot more than five homeless people, a mattress and a generator.

Worst case scenario you get to your off-grid location, you move the generator out of the van.

LOL, so how much fuel are you planning to bring for your generator?

Can anyone here think of anyone less equipped than Gizmo to hack this system together? If it wasn't for modern society, he'd have been eaten years ago :^D

Can't I just leave the fuel INSIDE the generator?
I know it's hard to believe but fuel is a consumable. Generators use a lot of fuel.

And you know you don't have to have all five people sitting next to each other to play as a team in CS2 right?

How do they even get a rocket up there without hitting a satellite ? I find it an amazing feature. :) I understand there are different orbits that the satellites fly, some in geostationary orbit (around 36000km above the Earth surface). some fly in a lower orbit. ISS orbit is around ~400km above Earth surface).

To get serious for half a second, I *highly* recommend Aspen for an emergency fuel store. It burns clean(exhaust is less hazardous to breath), and keeps for a long time. I use the 2stroke formula(Aspen2) as a backup for my corn free chainsaw fuel in case I run out. It's expensive, but it's the best fuel you can buy.

He wants to remove a van engine, put a generator in that space and still expects the van to drive so... 🤷‍♀️

I was going to put the generator in a electric van.

The generator will replace the giant lithium battery.

That is even worse. The most expensive component of a EV is the battery.

Go buy a donor van without an engine.

I was planning on getting a electric van that has it's giant lithium battery already removed.

It shouldn't be that expensive without the battery.

I'm sure there's a way you can make this idea even worse, I'm just not sure what it is.

Oh, I know, you can put 3D-printed wheels on it!

And you've looked into how much it'll cost to buy that van without a battery, the generator and the work to make everything run?
