The eye roll was about this silly bull shit:

"Also I guess the fear mongering about the end of democracy if the Republicans win control."

I can only hope that the courts put a permanent stop to the College Debt Forgiveness vote purchase scam.

We will all get through it to live another day...
Amazing a Politician doing stuff for people who vote for them. Who would have thought…..
I’d take an agreement on that if no more tax cuts for businesses that are profitable happen.

It appears to me that the Dems really got the vote out this cycle. I believe that was due to the Abortion Issue and the younger generation getting out for the College Debt relief promise. Also I guess the fear mongering about the end of democracy if the Republicans win control. We all gonna die!
Yep, the Dems are gonna let BLM open up the border and allow illegals to take away our guns using socialist free college now!

Funny, I don’t remember you advocating for the courts to put a stop to the former president’s free money for rich people vote purchase scam, but here you are advocating against money for regular young people trying to start their lives.

i think that message will continue to go over really well with the two current largest generations who can’t buy houses. Keep it up
But how will the GOP finance their election campaigns without free handouts to the billionaire donor class?

I hope when the college debt forgiveness goes through, they put a note on PCGeek's taxes and say "this amount was was used from your taxes to pay off student debt, instead of going to subsidies for the rich. Eat shit scumbag. Sincerely, the IRS'

Fuck that ghoul
The irony is that it doesn't even work that way. No taxpayer money is being used to "pay off" forgiven student loan debt because the govt already owns it. Instead, it's written off as bad debt.

why would the courts end a thing that has absolutely nothing to do with constitutional law or congressional rules and precedent?

....are you suggesting the courts create their own, as-for-yet un-American power to just start writing their own laws to overrule vote-derived powers?

Why? I'm sure "We will all get through it to live another day..."!

It's surely a good thing that a bunch of your population doesn't start their lives with massive debt? You're a rich country, you can afford to educate your people.

educating bad!

make my dumb friends lose elections because smart people make better policy and argument. smart is popular, therefore bad!

education bad!

There you go. I've summarized the last 40+ years (the only ones that I know of!), of growing up and living among American conservatives. That's really...pretty much it.

Another ballot count drop in AZ and nothing has changed.

Hobbs still leads by a full percentage point. Lake is thrilled because she can still count how much she lost by using her fingers.

As moonbeam used to say, it’s due to their primitive brain. That is, the primal part of their brain lacks empathy for others and sees others getting something they are not as a threat to themselves.

Sadly this is true.

The whole debate about student loan forgiveness seems to be two things, 1) fiscal responsibility, which we know is bullshit when the right loves giving tax breaks to millionaires, and 2) I didn't get any loan forgiveness so no one else should either, which is a shitty way of looking at life.

The fix to the student loan issue is simple. Higher education should be free. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying pay for the most damn expensive university for anyone that wants to go there, but something similar in cost to what the local community college costs should be 100% free. Put in some performance requirements, so students don't think they get a free ride to party 24/7 on Uncle Sam's dime, but higher education should be free. Other countries can do it, why can't we? We're supposed to be leaders of the free world.

I don't think you watch videos by CNN but this might just get to the heart of the matter:

Where the REPUBLICAN party is going vs where it was (and as a result it didn't get the votes)

I think he's right and its a great time for Dems to seize the good stuff of the former Republican party that even I liked but they have abandoned:

States Rights
Personal Freedoms (who to love, marry)
Strong National Defense

So uhm, that statistical impossibility happened exactly as I said was likely.
Oh hi. Looks like you were right. Well done!

I want to take this moment to thank you for holding me near and dear in your heart, it hasn't gone unnoticed! Thank you. I can't wait to see what sort of Christmas card you send me.

Lake went from -1.6 to -1, but must have been a disappointing return for her since I see the betting markets are now putting Hobbs at ~95% when she was around ~80% the whole day until that drop.

I DO hope that the people who get the student loan forgiveness have to treat it like any other bad debt...and claim to it on their taxes ..state and federal

Fear mongering? Uncle Clarence already said he wants to revisit marriage rights under the 14thA

Did you not hear the Republican say if I win Gov I will make sure no Democrat ever wins again

Have you not read the Maya Angelou axiom? I’m not going to tell you, look it up

I think this is dependent on state constitutions, and many states have different rules for filling vacant seats to finish out a term. Some, the governor can appoint whomever they won't, some it is required to be the same party. Some require s special election.

Bashear could screw them over. Mitch dies in office and AB slow walks naming a replacement. Gives Dems time to push through more legislation

Assuming Dems get 51 post GA

why? It's "bad" government debt, if anything. Not "bad" human debt.

In fact, it's not actually bad debt. It's proper spending and the government doing it's job.

let's reduce spending on the human-killing stuffs and life-sustaining planet murder, yeah? More spending on the people that are actually fixing our actual problems, maybe?

At all levels. It's not just about the two fields of science and "engineering." It's every level. Bringing all humans to a better understanding of the world as it is, all the things we have learned, and how to learn further and keep making all of these discoveries work better, requires all contributions from all sectors of society.

It's preposterously inane to argue that money should only be allocated to "the science!" for example. Whatever that means.

Why make this argument that one sector of the work and talent force that has made such significant contributions to human advancement, everywhere and for hundreds of generations, is somehow required to "pay off it's debt;" while this other one that just goes about killing and acquiring, in order to justify its necessity. should have absolutely no questions raised against its actual debt cost?

Down ballot, things are tightening up. Tom Horne is within 600 votes of getting his old job back as School Superintendent. He was a race baiting, litigating asshole for the entirety of his last stint in the job.
