Agreed .... except that wasn't the question. ;)

(unless Biden is somehow "progressive" now?)
He's the head of the party and controls the agenda. There were SOME progressives that called for "defund the police". That meme was promoted by Fox, Republicans and other right wing media and it stuck. Just like

Sharia Law
Obama born in Kenya
Pizzagate
Grooming
Kitty litter in schools

None of the above-bolded are sources I use for news.... I would have assumed that you would say the same but maybe not?

Why is Arizona taking so long?

Republicans encouraged their people to fill out mail in ballots and bring them to polling places knowing the manual process to check them in would gum up the works

Just creates more chaos

Just commenting how “defund the police” became the de facto position of progressives when it isn’t true

In New Haven I heard it constantly and it certainly wasn't from the right. (or "center" for that matter)

If "Defund the Police" wasn't in fact what progressives want then they did one of the worst jobs promoting their agenda that I've ever seen.

Hobbs is still on track though?
There is over a half million votes left to count in Arizona, most in Maricopa County. It ain’t over until it’s over.

Pima County = middle of the road
Maricopa County = solidly traditional conservative with a nutjob streak (Mesa)
Smaller cities = traditional conservative with a few liberal weirdos
Rural Arizona = stark raving mad reactionary psychopaths

Yeah Im not sure why I didnt know this...but in AZ, early ballots dont START to get counted until the day AFTER elections. And we had a record number of early ballots dropped off on Tuesday. AZ has a multi-step verification procedure (which Im good with) so it wont be until next week until we know the results.

Pima is absolutely not "middle of the road". It'll go hard for Hobbs. And Maricopa is like 52-55% D. The bulk of the votes being in those 2 counties with their trends make it really tough for Lake to overcome and damn near impossible for Masters.

I believe that other states also validate signatures on mail-in/drop-offs etc. BEFORE election day, while AZ does not.

Processing 60-70,000 mail in ballots a day isn’t bad since it’s done manually. Verify outside envelope filled out. Verify signature with one on file. Hand off sealed envelope to next team. They open it to reveal the anonymous ballot. Unsure if ballot is hand counted or they let a machine count. But they allow mail in ballots until Election Day. Other states cut off a week before. So they can do all of this before hand. Arizona had same team that processed mail in ballots. But come a few days before the 8th, they stopped processing mail in ballots to prepare for Election Day. So past 2 days, they processed mail in ballots from the weekend. On the 8th, they received 290,000 mail in ballots. Todays count will start having these votes. And then they also have in person election day ballots that had the printer issue. Bet these have to be hand counted.

For reference, Pima is D+20 ...

Here's hoping the Dumpster announces he's running TONIGHT! :D
Tiffany getting married tomorrow. So if he’s a decent father, he’ll wait. And rumours have it that Ivanka and Jarad are done. They won’t participate in campaigning and won’t join the administration if he were to win

Not going to read thru all this to see if this was already posted. But i guess some prominent GOP are floating the idea of raising the voting age. What a bunch of sore losers.

Just to add to what you're saying, these are current numbers for Pima and Maricopa:

I remember in 2010 I "somewhat disapproved" of Obama and still voted D's. I was disappointed because I didn't think he had done enough. I have a feeling similar feelings are dogging Biden, people want more of his agenda not less.
It was especially uphill battle for Obama because of his "being black." The right wanted to make this clear to everybody. Obama's commitment to implementing TACA is majorly to his credit. Of course, it was not going to move the whole mountain of the entrenched healthcare industry in America. That was too much work for one president. He's well loved globally. What other American president in the last 1/2 century can you say that about? Crickets.
