Yes, it's early, but feel free to get a start on the late Republic post-mortem with whatever hopium, copium, doom posting, etc you need to start the pre-game.

Looks like the right is already complaining about issues with voting machines in Maricopa County (AZ).

They are complaining because 20% of the tabulating machines are not working. I would complain too if I had to wait longer to vote in the AZ sun.

Looking forward to following the results tonight. It should be interesting.

There is no longer wait. You can vote and put your ballot in the box to be counted off site.

I have a smaller site by me, was pretty empty this morning I was in and out in like 10 minutes.

I wouldn't call it a "party"--but maybe that's just me!

Is it sad that as an educated and civically engaged American, what I'm looking forward to most is not seeing or hearing another political attack ad tomorrow?

  • I know we won't know the final balance in the House or Senate by tomorrow morning.
  • I know that lawsuits challenging the vote counts could drag on for weeks.
  • I know that Democrats won't hold the House, and that the Senate majority is even more fragile than 50+1 would indicate.
  • I know that if the GOP ultimately controls both chambers, Trump will be on the ballot in 2024 (at least for primaries.)
  • I know that regardless of the final outcomes, Dems should hold an open primary in 2024.

Already reports of fraud! I'm sure there are mountains of proof!
Just like the other 65 times the orange menace cried wolf (just counting all the meritless lawsuits, not the additional thousands of big lies about elections in its speeches and postings)

At least I had no line to get in my early vote (in person) last week, not that the vote will make a difference in this Republican sweep year

Strong voter turnout bodes well for Dems, but I won't be staying up or holding my breath. If young people don't turn out to vote, I can't say that I'll feel bad for them if it affects their future personally. We get what we vote for.
