Correction: early ballot results as of now...for returns, D = 38%, R 37%, independant 25%. Election day check ins, D=15%, R=55%, independent 29%.

I was out and about today, and.... all the people I came in contact with were talking about voting. Did you vote, they ask one anther? Are you going to vote, they ask one another?
Another phrase I kept hearing, THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ELECTION. THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION.

But no one NO ONE was actually talking politics nor talking about who they would vote for nor asking who others wouldl vote for. No one was crossing that line of voter privacy.
However, all had a vert sober, concerned look on their face and I wondered, is that concern a pro-republican concern or a pro-democrat concern?
Because I could not tell of which party they aligned with, yet they all seemed equally concern about tonights outcome.

That "sober concern" intrigued me very much.
It would appear that republicans are very concerned with losing to democrats and thus the same-o continuing on for the next two years, and it would appear democrats are very concerned with the possibility of republicans taking control.

Botton line here...
Both sides are obsessed with concern should they lose, believing it would mean absolute disaster for America.
So democrats believe life as we know it will end should republicans prevail, and republicans believe the same goes should democrats prevail.
The tension was so thick you could..... be concerned about all of the concern.
Fudge... I don't know what to expect myself. 😳

Well lets just say it's 24 hours from now and nothing has changed.
With the elections over, democrats still hold 50-50 in the senate and hold the same in the house. Zero change.
And, Boden is still the president.
NOW can we move on ???? 😛

For Florida, if wanting to see first-hand results from state elections office (rather than just news aggregators), starting in a bit under 90 minutes at:
Polls close in most of the state in 30 mins, but the panhandle counties on Central time close an hour later, and they don't release any results until all polls closed. Unlike most states, they will have most of the vote reported within hours (as most counties have already collected/tabulated early vote results, just not reported yet until polls close)

Early 👏 ballot 👏 results 👏 don’t 👏 matter.

This is not hopium or whatever. Really, you can’t tell either way from early returns. It’s a waste of time.

No returns are to be reported until final results are in! Per fskimospy!!!oneoneone

😛

(appreciate the compliment BTW)

You don’t need final results overall but you do need precinct level final results.

I went to vote at 9AM.. earliest I've ever gone to a voting site. Was empty! In and out without seeing another voter.

Did anyone here earlier today on the news that a county in Illinois had there election website get a DDOS attack. Republicans are trying to get dirty and do anything to suppress the vote.

Looks like a paywall, but I dont care about DDOS attacks on reporting websites. If it was voting machines, thats a different story. What does it say?
