Nice expensive toy, but a bit much. Wonder how much driving skill Leno has, and if he drives it on the track.
Well, I am looking at it in the context of his "garage". So many expensive cars that are just sitting there. Does he really need another?Base model's only $70k, I say only like that's not a lot lol. But, as Leno said this is bordering on super car territory. So I guess it's costing a lot is all relative. They're only making 5,000 of these, and I don't see the value plummeting after 5 years like a Camaro or Vette. So my chances of owning one ever - slim to none.
I think the car is cool in its way, but I certainly hope America is more than owning a car which uses a lot of gas, has more power than can ever be used in normal driving, and costs 4 or 5 times what a mainstream sedan or SUV costs. That is why I dont really read car magazines that much anymore, seems like they are only interested in super-expensive performance cars.read through a review article a couple of days ago and the price of the configured sample was just north of $90,000. you get quite a bit for that, though, such as a car that is an absolute savage on the track and strip but can actually be a decent DD too--minus the fuel cost.
i forget where i read itbut to quote the article it basically summed it up as "America stuffed into one car."

Average New-Car Prices Up Nearly 4 Percent Year-Over-Year for May 2019, According to Kelley Blue Book
/PRNewswire/ -- The valuation analysts at Kelley Blue Book today reported the estimated average transaction price for a light vehicle in the United States was...www.prnewswire.com
It's double the average transaction price, not 4-5x anything on the market unless you compare the cheapest cars sold to the most expensive GT500 you can option (ADM excluded of course).
It's a ridiculous amount of performance for $70-100k.

HP may be super-car territory, but is handling? i doubt it. Its still a mustang.
I would not consider a GT2 to be a super car. Really nothing in the 911 line is. 918 or Carrera GT sure. But not 911.
