I look forward to the hot women wearing slutty clothing. Will just bring up the news tomorrow morning for highlights.

Nah, the Oscars are Sunday.

What I usually do for most award shows myself though.

Same here -- there's no point in watching anymore when I can catch all the highlights (and lowlights) on youtube the next morning (if not even that evening still)

Cheering for Mad Max to take picture and director; that would be awesome. If not though I'd be good with The Revenant or Spotlight.

After that I really want Hardy and JJL for the supporting categories, Leo for best actor, Ex Machina and Martian for screenplays and Morricone for best score.

Don't really care about any of the others (though I hope Mad Max wins all of those other technical awards too), but I'll watch all of the ones I listed above closely.

Would be fantastic to see Mad Max sweep its categories, though I have my doubts about Best Picture.

I saw the Revenant...I thought it was good and all, but I didn't really like it. It was very competent at every level, but I didn't see any, well, I dunno...point to it. I left the theater as numb and unmoved as i do after whatever Marvel imagefest I had just escaped from.

I thought Hardy was great, but I'm tired of that nondescript and very strange American accent that he sometimes uses. (like in that shitty moonshiner movie with Shia theBeef. His character and accent in The Drop was fantastic though--in fact, why he wasn't nominated for that is beyond rational....or was he? I have no idea. He should have been)

The Revenant...I already saw All is Lost last year and I thought that was a much better version of the same theme.

The Revanant wasn't THAT good. Although honestly, at this rate they're going to give it to him out of sympathy than for immaculate craft.

Say-or-eese Ronan.

Yep, that's the one I went with too before I heard someone say it properly. Where the hell did the "eese" part come from out of Saoirse, I don't know.

Only movie I've seen nominated is Mad Max which has no business being nominated for best movie at all.

I never watch award shows so I'll catch the results tomorrow.
