That's not how the regular season MVP award works.
It's not a question of who the best overall player is (Lebron). It's basically who has the most impressive regular season that also translates to wins for their team. The Warriors won a record-setting 73 games, and Steph was their best player for the regular season, so he's the logical choice for MVP.
He also set a pile of individual records that won't likely be matched by anyone else, anytime soon.
