Thanks, Steve! It might help to add SKU or product IDs to know which are the crappy sets or the really, trample your grandma deals.

For example, Samsung's second tier SUHD, the KS series, starting this Sunday, will experience a $200 drop for the 65" sets (UN65KS800) and a $300-ish drop for the 55", putting it below $1000 (979.99).

Because of the pricing models out there for the higher ends, nobody will sell it cheaper (except Ebay folks). They may pair it with something else to make it look cheaper, though.

Totally hear you on that. It's really cumbersome to transcribe the model numbers in though, if there was an easy way to simply copy & paste them in I'd totally do it. Otherwise it just adds so much time.

Even though it's only 1080p, I may have considered the vizio 60" for $398 at Walmart had I not gone with the 65" 4k for $598 at Sam's.

Steve, Thank you for putting this together. The Target listing you have for the 43" Element should list it as a 4K not 1080 supposedly:

One of the released ad scans definitely lists it as 4K and I believe that is the model link.

I am looking for around a 40" 4K to use as a monitor so I have been watching that one.

Or, when possible, buy them beforehand and use a credit card's price protection policy to get back the difference when the BF/CM sales go live. I've never done it myself (though I'm half hoping to, this year), but there are a number of threads about it on Slickdeals, among other websites. Just be sure you thoroughly familiarize yourself with the plan's terms (especially any exceptions) beforehand and start looking for the same (exactly the same) models now, and be aware of the seller's return policy before you buy, (though a lot of retailers have extended holiday return periods to make that a little easier to deal with)

Every year they get bigger and living rooms stay the same size. We sit anywhere from 12-15ft away... 75"... ouch. I think we'll settle for 70. Still using a 57" CRT that is half the size of a mainframe.

Its not 120hz and neither is any uhdtv except for maybe the high-end sets.

Costco does have a Samsung 40" 4k 6 series for $290 (I know because I bought it). Its a good tv for a bedroom. I haven't connected a computer to it yet so I can't speak to how text would look on it (personally I think that would be dependant on the OS and whether it has some sort of text scaling built in otherwise the text would be super small).

No idea the price yet, but target will feature a doorbuster Hisense (40" I think) 4k tv. Hisense usually seems to be an underdog brand so if its a good price, I could see picking it up.

Brag: I got a 55ks8000 for 729 from Samsung.com. The 60 would've been 850. To get the price your company has to be in their program, but everything I saw was way cheaper than BF pricing.

Any opinions on the LG 70UH6330 ? Can't seem to find many reviews on it. Would the majority of the specs be similar to any of LG's UH6xxx series?
