So BUF is out and it's either gonna be Toronto or St Louis.

I think most Wings fans would prefer he just leave at this point. If we don't give Blashill a head coaching spot, some other NHL team will, and Detroit will regret it.

Thankfully I work a slightly later schedule but triple OT kills me too--I can't even imagine how people who work 8-5 fare after those games.

Let it be noted that Andrew Shaw's headbutt goal was the funniest one I've ever seen. I get why it didn't count but the sheer disbelief from everyone (fans, non-fans, announcers) after it went in was a once in a lifetime moment.
 
All we've heard is that the Wings have bushel of money left over every year and Free Agents don't want to come here because Babcock is a dick. Wings have an overabundance of money and blue chip players to trade so I say let's see what happens. They need some top flight defensemen and a star or two forward instead of a legion of 15-20 goal scorers.

Well you have Franzen, once a friggin record setter, now barely showing up when he plays, and may actually have to retire due to concussions. He was that "top scoring forward" that isn't anymore.

The free agent pickups haven't been bad... just unlucky.

Weiss? Hells yeah! oh wait, he's out for a 2+ years
Kole? Hells yeah, oh wait, breaks his back before playoffs, career possibly over.
Zidlicky? Hey a nice veteran D man, looks good, plays good... oh damn, injured for game 7.

What was funny was that no one seemed to know the rule (even Shaw). Even I thought as long as it wasn't a hand or skate it was fine.
 
I was at Game 4 of the Ducks/Blackhawks series.

I had at least four heart attacks during that 5 period game, most of which came when the Ducks rattled off those three goals in 37 seconds. RIP Me.

I really hope Chicago wins the cup. If so, I'll be partying with Mr. Stanley as Bryan Bickell is my next door neighbour at the cottage.
 
Lightning and the Rangers are really having at it there.

I think the Ducks have realized this isn't the first two rounds now and its going to be a dogfight to the end. And I hope Q realizes that 4 defensemen cant play like this and randomly changing lines doesn't always work.

Also, bench Timonen. That dude is lost.
 
I'm admittedly not a huge hockey fan, but the Lightning might get in the cup final tonight so gonna be watching.

I read if they don't do it and pull it off it's predicted the NY game 7 would be most expense tickets outside a Stanley Cup ever, I doubt anyone would fudge a game for that reason though.

I hear thunder boomers in the distance, it must be a sign from the Hockey God's.

Or just a typical Summer evening in Tampa Bay 😛

Last night's Blackhawks/Ducks game was the epitome of playoff hockey and how it's never over until the clock hits 0:00. Just as Blackhawks fans were in dismay early on, I'm sure Ducks fans felt exactly the same when Captain Serious scored twice in 1:12 to tie it up. I'm disappointed the Blackhawks came up on the wrong end of things but it was fun and nerve-wracking as hell to watch.

Knowing that Game 6 is going to be an all-out war between these two teams, I snagged a ticket at face value to go (apparently getting a single seat is pretty easy; getting anything more requires going through a reseller). The Blackhawks are undefeated (5-0) when I've attended games this season so that's how crazy superstitious me will be supporting the team. Looking forward to an awesome Game 6 and hopefully an equally amazing Game 7!
 
Yeah, like I said, not a huge hockey fan I guess, didn't even know Martin St. Louis was a Ranger these days 😛
