Go Flyers! 🙁

Flyers, they suck. And what was this chant I heard during the last game, "You can't beat us!" That ain't nice. 😛 I had to laugh at that.

U mad brah? :colbert:

😀

Well there are better teams that missed, like LA, SJ, DAL.
But hey, those two did get enough points to make it in, so they get to do the dance.
It's just that they are the weakest series by far IMHO.

If they were better teams, wouldn't they be in the Playoffs?

Not really, the kings are out cause they couldn't win in the shootout...if they played regular format hockey all season like they do in the playoffs, the kings would probably have been second place in the pacific.

Sure wasn't pretty though.

It wasn't going to be anyway. Tampa has a huge (physically) lineup, especially their forwards. Tampa and the Wings are 1/2 in puck possession time. It's going to be a slow grinding possession game with low scores. Detroit needs to keep the puck off their goalie because he's questionable right now, and Tampa's goalie has never been tested. So it's going to be slow, ugly, clog-up-center-ice crap.

Of course, at least the Wings aren't so scared that they had to resort to not selling tickets to anyone with a Michigan address. Oh, and the wings didn't ban the opposing Jersey from big chunks of their stadium.

Stay classy Tampa.

Beast of a game between the Jets and Ducks.

I missed the first half of the game, but apparently it was pretty even. Ducks dominated the second half. Lots of loose pucks and rebounds in front of the Ducks goal, but Winnipeg didn't have many good shots on net from what I saw.

I'll put this in the nicest way possible: fuck the penguins.

i am fine with this, but im pretty sure the GM is going to handle that.

pulling for tampa bay, myself. i started rooting for them this year because i gave up on the hurricanes entirely last season. hockey is so much better when you follow a decent team.

Was 6/8 for first game predictions compared to my bracket but I had no sweeps in the first round as well. Montreal/Ortaea series has a chance of turning pretty ugly.

I'm pretty sure following a decent team only to have them blow a 3-1 series lead sucks too. Or getting swept in the finals only scoring 2 goals sucks too. This year, knowing that the team was lucky to get into the playoffs, anything more is a plus. Low expectations, that's what I'm all about.

So Ducks and Habs up 2-0 and the other series all 1-1. I thought that the Jets were robbed a little by the non-call on holding the stick.

Only Boston is lower on the list of teams I wanted to win the lottery. Seriously, 4 firsts in 6 years, and a 7th and 3rd overall pick the other two years? Give me a break.
