Randall Cobb had a career year and really did well to over-inflate his value so a team like the Raiders blows a wad on him.

If the Pack could get him back for like 8.5m great, otherwise, thanks for the memories Randall.

I know I'm a little late to the party but the Bills got fleeced in that trade. I don't think it's a terrible trade but it's fairly one sided. The Eagles were obviously going to renegotiate or cut McCoy if they needed the cap space, 12 million dollars if a huge cap number for any RB plus his dead money number is nothing crazy.

I would expect the Bills to offer McCoy an extension to lessen cap blow, sort of like what the Eagles did with Sproles after they got him from the Saints (Boy do I miss that guy).

I just think that is a bad idea for the Eagles. Tampa is going to want something outlandish to give up that spot.

Eagles also rumored to asking to trade for Kyle Long of the bears.

If the bears trade him I am gonna cut someone.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...rs-leery-of-chip-kelly-in-wake-of-mccoy-trade

reports of eagles players worried about Chip Gutting the team.

Guess what? Every player outside of shady was over 30 and shady has 2 yeas till he hits the RB wall.

Well if your old then chip wants to replace you with someone younger and cheaper and less of a injury risk. How could he be wrong?

He made almost 50 in cap room in a few days. Herrimans was hurt and was seen as a declining player in the power run game last year. Cole lost a step and always got knicked up. Shady was a pain in the ass and complained about running in between the tackles....

Wish the bears and more teams would take this approach. If you dont think you can win the SB with your talent this year or next year then you have to make a change.

Look at the cowgirls kepping together essentially a 8 and 8 team and now when they start playing well they have NO cap wiggle room and a bunch of contracts maturing and making depth an issue.

I said same thing about bears two years ago. They double down on stupid and try to win with an aging roster. Bears wasted two years instead of rebuilding when they have to rebuild now. If Jennings isnt cut and Marshall isnt cut or traded the bears are making the same stupid mistakes.

Rebuild now and get younger and healthier and start to sign younger players in FA that still have upside not idiots like Peppers and Allen when they were clearly descending players.

Chip Kelly is doing the same thing that Bill bellichick has done for a decade. I dont see NE keeping Revis at this point unless he signs a team friendly deal.

If you can't do your job, you should be afraid of being cut IMO.

Dallas really just got unlucky they had some breakout young players all hit their contract at the same time. They did essential safe moves lately and quite a few worked out. McClain was a risk and so was drafting OL. Did anyone expect Murray to have a career year on this contract year? No Dallas fan did, that is for sure. And, Dez has produced year after year, so he is going to be a cap hit, but everyone expected that.

I think Chip is trying to build "his" style of offense and cleaning up where it doesn't suit him. I am wondering if he is shopping around Foles. At least, the management is behind him. I can't imagine going into there with a "Hey! Let's trade McCoy" takes anything less than giant balls.

49ers shopping backup ILB Wilhoite.. I see the Bears as a potential target given the familiarity with Fangio. Won't be anything more than a late round pick though.

Pierre Thomas is going to be released by the Saints :(

Real shame, the dude may not be a elite stud but he does anything that's asked of him and is solid in every facet of the game. Guys like him, Jason Witten, Kendall Wright, etc. never get enough credit for what they do.

I am a total fan of Pierre as well. I saw him play a bunch at Illinois and I always knew he would be a NFL back.

If he backed up Forte it would be perfect. They could operate a two back proset and still have multiple downfield vectors in the pass game.

For what purpose?

I would think to get MM.

If they need to go all the way to number 1 for that they must think Tampa wants to take MM.

Maybe they are playing a behind the scenes shell game with their love of Jameis? Doubtful.

Trading for the jets or prying the pick away from the raiders is more likely.

Looks like Manning is coming back! And taking a $4 mil pay cut to help team.

And Pats decline Wilfork option. He will be a FA.

Also, sources inside Steelers say they hope Troy Hairamalu retires so they don't have to release him.

So the 49er's signed Darnell Dockett... It seems this team, in regards to age and getting new players is feast or famine. Either we get them from the draft or always sign older vets... I mean honestly how good can this guy be, coing off an ACL tear and in the league since 2004??? And hell the guy is literally one year younger than me at 33....

Docket should still be awesome. He was amazing before he got hurt and it happened early enough in the year thats hes already rehabbed and explosive probably. With one of their stuf DEs wont be back next year it makes sense. Seems they want to win now with Justin coming back since hes been working out like crazy at the team facility. Someone said hes been first in last out for a while. Thats a guy who wants to play. Always respected the hell out of that guy.

Bears shopping Marshall. If the bears can get a 3rd or a 4th it would be awesome! It would put the bears in the 40 million dollar range in CAP space and that would allow them to pick up another piece of the puzzle.

Someone has been putting these up around town in Detroit!

Vince Wilfork just said Patriots declining his option. Guy still was playing awesome this year. Great team player and was a vocal leader the last few years not his normal reserved self. He was a big part of that team for so long. Man the Patriots have the best front office in the league if they can tear off the name and look at his contract and future after winning it all this year. Sure they have some young guys behind him but damn he could take two guys on like he did when he was a 5 year vet.

Byron Maxwell said he wants to stay in a cover 3 scheme and it would be his primary concern going forward.

If thats not code for him going to Atlanta and joining his old coach I dont know what is.

Wilfork might be running out of steam. He turns 34 in Nov. of this year. The Pats might even resign him to a better (for them) deal. They've done that before.

How much is Marshall's salary cap hit for 2015 and beyond? I could see the 49ers entertaining an offer like they did with Boldin a couple years back.

Would be an awesome trade. How about Wilhote and a 4th rounder :)

Marshall is set to make 9 million this year in a really team friendly deal. Looking at FA he would get that with Cobb looking at 12-15 million in Raidersland. If marshall is traded from what I saw the bears would still be on the hook for 3-5 million based on his last restructure in dead money. Ill look for a link

People should realise Marshall is still awesome and has become a great team leader. I personally think his outburst last year was justified. ANY one else would have been lauded for saying what everyone had been thinking Since Cutlet started sandbagging. He helped guys train and was influential in getting Alson to play the way he plays. Alshon had trained and spend a ton of time with him in Miami and it really helped Alshon. If I were the 49ers I would trade for him and draft a young stud in the second in draft that marshall can help develop. Sammy coates or Conley if they are available would be a guy who would benefit greatly. 49ers should look at Antwan Goodley as well in the later rounds that guy is amazing and nobody has him ranked because this year reciever class is gonne end up being just as good as last year. Look at all these mid level recievers being cut.

Personally, with the WR class as deep as it is, I'd be weary of trading a pick to get a WR. Pick up someone as a FA unless you get a very sweet deal and just draft one. There looks to be some good ones.
