The most interesting part is that Dolphins picked up Josh Freeman.

Hopefully the 49ers get a new Gm by the time the future son is old enough to realize who is winning and why his father is always so sad and depressed on Sundays (and certain mondays and thursdays).
oh god.....browns new uni's revealed and there isn't a damn bit of brown on them. looks like alternate jerseys for the chiefs for christ sake.
I like their new uni's. The brown in the jersey is a darker shade. Still clearly brown unless you are blind, or just stupid.

the yahoo article I saw didn't have the one that kinda looks brown and brown. The others have so much red around them they look more red than brown, and a couple look like alternative jerseys for the chiefs.
That "leaked" uni looks virtually identical to the brown uniform they've used since forever. At least the real ones look different. Can't please everybody. The "leaked" images from a couple months ago look 10000x better, so of course the Browns
picked the ones they did.

Cause the old ones were classic and no need to change other than for some crappy marketing scheme to try and sell different product for an underachieving business.
Who are they marketing to with the incredibly ugly choice to have the team name down the side of the pants? What next, will they have the word "Juicy" embroidered on the butt?
They haven't been really good in 50.
So .. any news on the Chargers possibly trading Rivers for #2 overall? I hear Rivers wants out California cause of taxes. Can't blame the guy with his 8-15 kids.
They were one of the top teams in the NFL in the late 80s, so I'd call that really good. But otherwise, you're right and I'd really like to see them return to prominence.
You are right they were competitive for a number of years in the 80's. But really good teams win titles. The Kosar era will forever be remembered for The Drive and The Fumble. Exactly what tradition are people holding on to? The championships they won 50 years ago?
The Browns got all their ducks in a row on the business side. They just (and most importantly) need to get it going on the field.

I'm not a fan of the Browns embroidering on the pants either. Everything else looks great.
The Browns haven't been good in 25 years. They haven't been really good in 50. They've lost an entire generation of fan base that couldn't care less about the uniforms. It was time for a change.
Never got to a single Super Bowl. They had a stretch of 4 decent years where they lost 3 AFC title games to the Broncos and that was it. I'd call that meh. To be one of "the top teams in the NFL" and to have "prominence" you have to win something besides finishing first in a 4 team division.
