end of the world in 2022 due to no more significant increases in CPU ghz?

Guess stacking memory on an interposer could lead to some increase but at what cost?

Either that, or computing turns back to its roots and becomes a government-funded project/boondoggle (depending on your PoV). If there are shrinks to be had, someone will probably fund it from the gub'ment side.
