After watching the Vols completely dismantle Northwestern I don't understand how they were ranked so high to begin with. Now with that being said I do think anyone who has watched how UT ended up with 4 losses would likely agree that they are probably much better than any other 4 loss team in the country. At least as good as any other pre-bowl 3 loss team as well. It would have been nice to see them play Michigan.

It will be interesting to see if they can carry their new found ability to close games into 2016. I predict they will open the season as a top 15 team. Possibly top 10. They certainly have the potential to win the SEC next season.

One other point on the Big 10. Someone needs to figure out what the heck is wrong with their scheduling that allows a team like Iowa to go an entire regular season without playing Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State. I've never really paid much attention to the Big 10 conference splits but wow who thought it would be a good idea to put all 4 of those teams on the same side of the conference. From an outsider's perspective that just looks like a huge mistake.

BIG10 is going to 9 conference games, and 3 outside games next year as opposed to 8 and 4. That should hopefully help balance things out some more.

WTF happened. When it was almost a 5 TD lead turned the TV off and went for a nap, woke up to an OT loss, WTF.

Vernon Adams took a hit and had to be removed from the game. After that, Oregon does what it always does without Adams: folded. Also, whoever replaced the Oregon Center starter (Matt Hegarty) was absolutely terrible and could barely get the ball into the QB's hands.

Looking like whomever comes out with the better halftime adjustment will have a good shot at winning.
