Looks like cost is a major reason why Super girl hasn't been renewed yet, so the production studio looking to relocate to Vancouver for cost savings since kali declined their tax rebate.

Word is it could move to CW and the budget of the show would be cut.

So, they have a $3 million anvil on their heads...
CBS and Warner Bros. are reportedly in the middle of negotiation talks where Supergirl is concerned, and though the network is on board with hosting a second season, the problem lies with the licensing fees that CBS is paying just to air the show, which is right around $3 million. That’s up there with the highest fees commanded by a freshman series in TV history, and while it might have been a feasible financial choice at the beginning of Season 1, when the premiere brought in 13 million viewers or so, the ratings have drooped ever since, particularly in the final two months of the season, where the live viewership hovered between six and seven million. Hard to make money when viewers keep leaving.

^^^CBS should fuck right off if they only have air rights. They'll probably pull a Person of Interest because they don't get the syndication money.

Person of Interest got like a solid 9 million viewers last season, more prior, and it's still getting cancelled and plowed through at 2 episodes a week right now.

Unless there is an extension, contract requires decision by today for CBS renewal of supergirl. Talks with CW have reportedly become more substantial as CBS delayed decision to the deadline.

As has been discussed, CBS entering the stream business by leveraging their broadcast ratings and minimizing content they don't produce or have a substantial portion of the rights signed over to them.

You have to give Mike & Molly credit. They managed to squeeze six seasons out of nothing but fat jokes.

Holy crap, I had to look that up, the show has been on since 2010? I thought it was a 2015 or, at best, a 2014 show. Six seasons, even Person of Interest didn't make it to six.

I had to look it up too, would have guessed three years, four at most. Six years is a very successful show, that gets you way more than enough episodes to syndicate it. And it sucked so hard.

They make a decision on castle yet?

“Kate Beckett is going to be dead by the end of the night and there is nothing you can do it about,” begins the promo for Stana Katic’s final episode on ABC’s Castle. Interestingly it is labeled season finale. A final decision on a ninth season renewal was expected last Friday, but was pushed and no official word yet on whether this will be the season or series ender.

Life in pieces renewed.

No word on supergirl.

ABC working on contracts with this Castle members they'd like to keep. Rumor is that is the selected members all agree they'll get another year.

CBS has "heard" the big middle finger extended in its general direction and acquiesced by cancelling CSI cyber.

Oh, man, I didn't see more than a few minutes of the show but it looked so pretentious... Not sad that it's gone. And I loved CSI, even a season or two after Grissom left -- jumped the shark when Justin Beiber guest starred.

Casting Patricia Arquette in the lead was a terribly clueless decision.
