The HoF game will be the first game where the extra point attempt will be from the 15 yard line (I believe all preseaon games will have this as well). 2 point conversions still happen from the original spot.

Not sure if it's the HoF game, but I believe this year we have a full time female official on the officiating squad too.

Dalton just got a 6 year extension, about $19 per.

WTF!?! Is he worth $19 million a year at this stage? Is he even worth $10 million a year? You would have thought they would talk extension only in the middle of the year when you see if Dalton is progressing or just going to become another journeyman who is not bad but not great. I guess we'll have to see some contract details. It could be like Colin Kaepernick's contract that is heavily incentive laden and with a lot of outs so that it is essentially a series of one year deals.

And the Giants looked mediocre. Cowboys aren't looking so hot either. That Cowboy defense is going to be stunningly bad this year. Only competition in the NFC Least is Eagles and 'Skins and both teams have questions at QB.

And, even with some prolific performance by an Eagles QB last year, Dallas and their last in the league defense still nearly won the NFC East. I have no doubts they will be contending for it again. But, I am likely bias. =)

That really sucks, but he seems rather positive. He understands he is lucky to have sustained that kind of injury and still is able to walk away. I am far from a Giants fan, but I still wish him the best in the future.

He probably has a couple mill in the bank and is young enough to pursue another career.

I hate when injuries end such talented players careers too soon. I mean look at Darren McFadden, yes he is still playing but the dude could have been an absolute beast in the NFL if not for those damn injuries.

A few time I had a chance to see him played when he was healthy, he was awesome. I don't think he ever played the whole season.

Bo Jackson is the ultimate career ending injury story. =( He was a beast in two sports.

The 49ers were thinking "well, we put might as well put all our chips on Kaep and hope he can do it" because if he goes down Blaine will be Blaine and their season is done. =)
If they start the regular season with Blaine as #1 backup heads should roll. Josh looked infinitely better than Gabbert right up to the point where he fumbled that exchange and looks to be capable of running the read option as well.

Looking better than Gabbert is a feat anyone except maybe Jarmarcus Russell could pull off.
I don't expect Kaep to get hurt anyway, but from the little I saw of Josh he looked to be decent enough that I wouldn't write off the season if the worst happened.

I do realize that you did not want us to draft Jamarcus Russell. He is a great player. Get over it and coach this team on the field, that is what you were hired to do. We can win with this team

Jamarcus Russell. This moran can claim to be #1 overall in a draft and probably #1 overall in terms of being an all time bust. Made over $40 million and he's just about broke. D:

Yeah, that hold out after being drafted really worked in Russell's favor. I guess he didn't spend his money wisely though. $28 million guaranteed and he is broke? What an asshat. Seems he was as good at managing his money as he was at QB.
