My only prediction is that my favourite team will not be playing after week 17. Seattle definitely has a defence, but they don't have an offence to go along with it.

I think Seattle is going to be sneaky good this year. I think they can get 10 wins with an upset over NE or splitting with SFO. The defense is great. They have good WR options in Baldwin, Rice and Edwards. Lynch is a tough nosed RB. Zach Miller is a capable TE. Wilson looks promising at QB and if he falters Flynn is a very good "backup".

I'd like to believe you, but I do not have faith in Wilson once he comes up against regular season defences and Flynn looked just bad in pre-season.

Wilson is a very interesting player. He's much older than a typical rookie...he's 24. And is a natural athlete - he was drafted by an MLB team before committing to football. He's smart, can run, and has a good arm. That's not a terrible combo. :)

And he'll still be a rookie QB. Other Rookie QBs with far better attributes have struggled their rookie year.

People are just going overboard with the Wilson Hype. The facts are that he did win the job over 3 PRESEASON games. They will replace him with Matt Flynn at the drop of a pen if he shows signs of struggling.

Eh. I've watched the kid play a lot of games in the Big 10. He'll have a season similar to Matt Ryan's rookie year. He's a chill guy in the pocket, can by time with his legs, and has great vision and accurracy. His biggest problem is that he isn't big. At less than 6' he'll have problems seeing over the linemen on some plays. But the same argument can be made for Brees. Who by the way is the only person to pass for more TD's in a single Big 10 season than Wilson. :)

To Wilson's benefit.. he played with a large offensive line at Wisconsin without many issues.

Wilson had only two balls batted down at the line of scrimmage last season with Wisconsin. This statistic compares favorably with rookie quarterbacks drafted in the first round. Andrew Luck had two batted down passes. Robert Griffin had nine batted down. Brandon Weeden had eight and Ryan Tannehill, who is 6’4”, had 19 passes batted down last season at Texas A&M.

I like Wilson as a QB.. just wish he wasn't with the Seahawks.

*Mid-Season Update!*

Still feeling really good about my picks. Big test for Houston this weekend as they travel to take on the Bears. As crazy good as Chicago's defense is (17 ints, 7 for a TD, and 17 forced fumbles in 8 games! Holy shat! That's an all-time defense, continuing the tradition of great Bears' defenses), I'm just counting down the time until Jay Cutler loses it.

Falcons are a great team but I think they are peaking too early. Seems like the teams that have the best regular season records never do well in the playoffs, and the Falcons have a bad track record in the playoffs as-is.

The Falcons are going to win it. They're the winningest team in the league.

Even a few weeks out from the playoffs....I got no idea. Houston strikes me as the most balanced team in the AFC, although NE Pats have *really* stepped up their defense and making teams pay for their mistakes. They actually have a great running game and of course Tom Brady does Tom Brady things.

In the NFC...who knows. SFO has a tremendous defense, a great offensive line but they aren't invincible. Green Bay has major injury issues and just not a great team...although on any given day can be excellent (see: Houston). NY Gmen have the pieces to be champs again, but just have consistency issues. Atlanta just strikes me as the same team we've seen for the last 3 years...regular season wonders and then collapsing in the first round.

I got no idea. I still think FC's original pick of Houston vs SFO is safe...but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was NE Pats vs SFO.

Well, the Texans kinda went into a slump at the end of the season there. For most of the season that pick was looking alright. BUT, still got the 49ers winning the Superbowl.

SF vs. NE IMO. It will be a close game and SF will win because of the mobile QB.

That would be awesome. I'd love to see another mirror match.

They should swap hats after the game is over and see how long it takes the media to catch on.

No one would have thought Kaepernick would be the one leading them to the Super Bowl.
