eagles will go 16-0 and win the superbowl in stunning fashion. you heard it here first.
lol
what?Hard for me to pick this year. I think the NFC has the three best teams in the league - GB, NYG, and SF. only one of them can win. Out that I give the nod to the best offense. GB.
AFC is much fuzzier...Houston and Baltimore on paper appear the most balanced. If Houston is healthy they are deadly on offense. Baltimore has more veterans on defense and only has a sliver of daylight left on that window of opportunity before Ray & Ed are walking corpses. So they may be motivated this year.
Pats are just getting older, and older and older. Brady will put up some points but I just don't see them as strong enough to get all the way. Pitt is busted up and in a bit of a funk. Jets look HORRIBLE in preseason. Denver is a bit of a dark horse. Let's see if that Defense rallies around Peyton like they did for Tebow at the end of the year.
If I had to say....GB vs Baltimore
GB overall.
I agree. I don't know why I put Warner on there. You're either joking, misguided or down-right insane. Kurt Warning is going to the HOF on his first ballot, not because of his rags-to-riches success story but because he was one of the most prolific passers of his time. He has 2 MVPs, 1 SB MVP, and still holds the the top 3 passing performances in SB history.. the TOP 3. He took 2 different teams to the SB, including a Cardinals team that had no defense and no business being there, and if not for a miracle drive by Rapelisberger he would have another SB win under his belt.
I was going to put up the one with the Campbell soup can in the trophy case with McNabb but he's no longer with the Eagles.
Both TB and BAL won with Elite defenses and an ok running game rather than elite QBs. SF is playing elite level defense, has a great RB, a high quality corp of receivers, and a serviceable QB. I think they have what it takes to win without an elite QB.
can't agree with you there
to win a SB almost solely on the strength of a defense you pretty much need the stars to align. When it comes to good defenses they can come and go like the wind, being the best of the best one year and then only top-10-ish the next. With the 49ers, chances are their shot was last season, and this season its more than likely they'll see a down turn.
Just look at what the Ravens have been doing putting out a perennial top 10 defense for the better part of a decade, yet only that 1 year when their D was pretty much once in life time level elite did they win a Superbowl. I don't think the 49ers are on that track, and I'm not convinced their offense is progressing to where it needs to be to take up the slack.
Who do you see in the Superbowl this season?
I agree. I don't know why I put Warner on there.
Warner to Bruce!!! That was an awesome couple of seasons they had.
I still think GB is still the most over rated team out there. Last year they play teams with the worst D in the league that made them look so good on O. They have no D and that is why the won't get anywhere. I think SF has the best chance with there D and they have s pretty good O.

SF does not have a very good offense. They have a limited QB who is not very good, a washed up formerly great receiver looking to regain some of his past glory, another way overrated receiver (Manningham) who I've watched run bad routes for years leading to many Eli picks. Yes, Vernon Davis is good and they have a good RB. Does not equal a great offense. Certainly not a well-rounded balanced SB winning offense. If they do get to the SB it will be because of their defense. That said, GO GIANTS!
Oh, ok. Just know this though, the Giants will not win another SB in the next 50 years. They burned all their luck last year.
That's what they said after XLII.
