It's probably a good thing no one took that bet.😛Anyone want to bet that Titan Quest wins the vote? It's been on sale every sale for a very low price for years, so anyone that wants it should have it now, but somehow it will win. it's some sort of weird steam sale logic/rule that makes this so...

I voted for Volgarr the Viking.
me too.
and yep, Titan Quest f-ing won. WTF people????? It just boggles my mind how these games keep winning the votes.
The Steam sale sucks major ***** this holiday season! Boooo! It may even be the worst sale yet. Prices are just horrendous. $10 for Sins: Rebellion? It should be $5 already, and it was several times before. $20 for Saints Row? It should be $10. Torchlight II for $5? I bought it for $2.50 a while ago. Rome II for $30? I was it for $20 two times already. Skyrim Legendary for $21? It was $20 several times already. They still want $30.. or was it $40 for that Call of Duty game. Ghosts I think. It really should be $20, at least just for the holiday sale. I know it's EA and all, but I am not paying a ridiculous price for this POS.
Are they trying to rip off an honest, knowledgeable, informed individual? Seriously Steam? Really?! This should be lowest prices of the year, and instead they are charging more for games that they themselves have discounted more in the past.
For your last complaint of Call of Duty, have you been absence from gaming for the past 5 years or whatever? Activision doesn't lower the price of CoD titles much at all and their "sales" for them are 50% off, it is a joke, but it isn't anything new to bitch over.
I was surprised to see Ghosts on sale.
I got Remember Me for $10 with a coupon from GMGonly other things I want is any discount on Starbound and Remember Me for 75% off.

lol, this is probably the first sale where I actually buy more games from stores other than steam, competition is good.I saw that, but GMG doesn't take Steam wallet 😛
Between card money and some steam wallet codes I received for christmas, I don't want to put any cash out of pocket, that money is going towards new Vita stuff 😀
me too.

The sale has been a mixed bag but all your complaints you have listed are just lol for a lot of those prices, just because you feel the games should be cheaper, remember the publishers set the prices. Also, to break it down by your game list, Sins Rebellion is 75% off already, only way you are going to see $5 is when Stardock lowers the MSRP to $20. Saints Row 4 is only a few months old and has been selling well, again even if it was 75% off it would be $12.49. $5 is the cheapest Torchlight 2 has gone outside of 4 packs I'm pretty sure. Rome 2 hasn't been below 50% off/$30 anywhere expect maybe GMG using a coupon. Skyrim in general has been slow on moving down on price and Legendary is the same price it has been on sale previously, it didn't go up in price. For your last complaint of Call of Duty, have you been absence from gaming for the past 5 years or whatever? Activision doesn't lower the price of CoD titles much at all and their "sales" for them are 50% off, it is a joke, but it isn't anything new to bitch over.
I think you need to not rely on your spotty memory or became more informed before making a rant. Also, blame the right people/place. Not happy with the prices? Go bitch to the publisher, they set the prices, not Steam.
All that being said. The sale is a mixed bag. On one hand we hand games on sale that aren't as cheap as they have been many times before in previous sales (great example is todays Fallout New Vegas Ultimate, it has been $4.99 75% off many times before). But on the other hand, we have had a ton of games at their lowest prices ever at 80-90% off (another example is Pixeljunk Eden at $0.99 at 90% off with its previous lowest price being $1.99 80% off almost 2 years ago).
A lot of the sale ho hum also is because probably 95% of us in this thread have been through a few of these holiday/summer sales now and have a ton of the stuff and most the stuff that would appeal or we want is newer and just want receive much of, if any discount at all so close to release.
I know I fall into that lot, I look at the daily/flash/vote deals and I own like 12 out of the 15 things or whatever that are on sale. Doesn't mean that they are bad deals, in fact they are in most cases very good deals, but they aren't for me. I've spent like $25 or so on this sale, probably will spend not much more (only other things I want is any discount on Starbound and Remember Me for 75% off). It will be the least amount I have spent so far on a big Steam sale I participated, but hell I'm not complaining, all that money was from selling cards mostly.
Dont hate on titan quest, its a good game.
yeah, 7 years ago.
I'm not hating on the game, I'm hating on people voting for a game that has been on sale a gazillion times already.

anyone have it?
No, but I'll be buying it if it wins
OK, this is bizarro. Wizardry 8 is on sale for $2.49. A pack containing Wizardry 6+7+8 is $2.24.
