This isn't the for sale forum, but I can answer this I think.

They're the WPA wheels, the ones like the IE cars have.

Found one within a few miles of my house in stock. Going to take a look right after I get cleaned up this morning.

It's the other end of the spectrum. Instead of classy gray, it's brash red with white stripes.

Congrats on your purchase. Being a Boss 302 owner, I can't imagine what another 200WHP feels like.

If anyone else is deciding between the 302 and the GT500, the answer is simple. If you plan on tracking it, get the Boss (or GT with Track package, arguably that is an even better value). If you have no plans on tracking it, and can afford either one, get the GT500 by all means.

Sweet looking ride! Mountains of torque! I like how mellow it looks when you think that the sucker actually has a psycho amount of power.

Btw, I nominate this as the polar opposite of Castiel's GTR thread :)

Whoever approved those rear tires for production should be in jail. Any other car in the world of this caliber has 335-345s.

That is an awesome piece of machinery. So what is the maintenance schedule like in something like that? Anything out of the ordinary?

Change the oil and tires every 5,000 miles is pretty much it.

Well there is a supercharger pulley that wears out and makes the car feel slower so you have to replace it with progressively smaller ones every couple months.

Extremely normal other than only 45k miles for spark plugs.

    Every 7500 miles

    Change engine oil and filter.
Inspect cabin air filter (if equipped).
Inspect tire wear and measure tread depth.
    *

Inspect wheels and related components for
abnormal noise, wear, looseness or drag.
    Perform multi-point inspection
    (recommended).
    Every 15000 miles
    (24000 km) or
    12 months (whichever
    comes first)
Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums,
brake linings, hoses and parking brake.
Inspect engine cooling system strength and
    hoses.
Inspect exhaust system and heat shields.
    Inspect steering linkage, ball joints,
    suspension, tie-rod ends, driveshaft and
U-joints. Lubricate if equipped with grease
    fittings.

Plugs are expendable wear items on boosted cars.

I like how this is the GT500 suppliment, and it mentions tire rotation..... :/

Actually, without the performance pack, it might have matching wheels.

I did ok with 470, and this car feels *much* more stable than that one did. I'm careful.

Oh, hah. Well, no point in changing anything else before putting fatter tires on the back. It already has a bit more than it can realistically use.

    No. Needs moar. Like yesterday.

It's been what a couple hours now? Now you might as well skip straight to the smallest pulley to make up lost time.

    Wow you weren't kidding:

    http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2013_GT500_Specs.pdf

    Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar G: 2 P265/40ZR-19 front, P285/35ZR-20 rear

Thank god for electronic nannies I guess. That's 50% more powerful than a stock Gen 2 Viper with 2" less tire out back. Scary.

More Hp/tq than a new viper which has 355's in the back.

edit: it has been pointed out to me that the tire width choice was probably made to save you from a gass guzzler tax.

Probably also makes the car more approachable to 'normal' buyers. The Viper gets jumpy on rutted pavement, that would probably freak out mid-western housewives.

I'm sure they had all kinds of reasons for doing it, but were I you I'd be changing that ASAP.
