I must be crazy, for I am considering this.

Someone tell me how I'd kill myself and have no business with it please. :ninja:

edit: I'll just leave this right here....

My trade (which is mine, not the bank's) is worth around $37k (in trade, not retail)... Hmm.... A place around town is asking $60k for one.

Argh.

Go for it! Such a sexy car. If I recall, you have a 392. I see the GT500 better in every regard.

I'd love a Mustang but even the base model is $30k now with tax and freight. Could probably get it for $27k. Gone are the days of affordable pony cars.

I really like the look of the 392 better and it's still pretty fast. Honestly, unless you are going to race/drag race stay with a Challenger.

Don't pay markup. Surely that car isn't 60k MSRP?

I remember seeing easily 5-10k of markup when the Shelby model first came out. Later on, you could get them for MSRP if not cheaper.

I haven't gone to look yet. with the right options, the MSRP is over 60k on those.

I think the MSRP range is 54-64ish

Yes, that's the msrp, not a markup.

I'd rather have a Boss.

For what the boss is going for, just can't justify it. Boss is typically selling 2-4k above MSRP. GT500 is going for MSRP and is far superior as long as it's a 2013.

Right now the GT500 can't be beat in it's price range. Especially when you cosnider what $3k in mods will do for it.

Derp, that one was a special order that was showing up when it wasn't supposed to. Place the next town over has one with all the options and wants more than I'm willing to pay ($69k).

Straight line speed isn't a problem with the Boss. Has plenty of that and can turn too. Just seems like it would be the more fun driving car.

I have a '12 GT500 (bought in April '11), and love just about everything about the car. I'd love to get a '13, but can't justify the depreciation hit. If you like muscle cars, you'll LOVE the GT500.

My buddy had a 09' 500. I've been in quite a few muscle cars but that thing will tear up some road lol. The 302 doesn't seem worth the price, might as well go with the 500.

Yep. People who know, get the 302 Laguna Seca. It's the best of the ponies for handling and actual driving.

If you're the kind of guy who likes to race at the track and are concerned about handling, yes by all means get some version of the Boss 302. It's a beautiful car.

However, for sheer badassery, you can't beat the statement a new GT500 makes.
