2013 Ford Fusion

looks nice. at a glance the front end seems like a chubby aston.

are they moving all the models to the 2011+ explorer look?

The interior definitely has the Explorer look to it...which is to say good in my opinion. As you mentioned, the exterior actually has a more aston martin look (at least the front) than the Ford Explorer. I think this is more an evolution of the Ford Mondeo in Europe exterior wise than anything in the US. It think it looks great and the lack of Chrome compared to the last model is a HUGE step forward in my book. If this drives well and is as reliable as the last Fusion, I really hope this ends up bing a hit for Ford.

Uh wow, that thing is gorgeous. Interior is a tad bland, but the exterior does it for me.

I'd rather it be a tad bland and really functional/comfortable than overwrought and frenetic like the Focus/Fiesta. I'm looking forward to taking one of these for a test drive.

This. Bland means it will look acceptable in 10 years. The focus and other crazy ford designs will look really dated by then. It's similar to the digital dashes they had in the 80's... Futuristic at the time, archaic nowadays.

The 1.6T with a manual sounds really awesome. If it really gets anywhere near the high thirties on the highway, that should be a very competent car with fantastic gas mileage.

I will either get this or the new Escape by the end of this year. I love what Ford has done with both of these models.

Luxurious styling + impressive engine tech! I'd take this over the latest Camry/Accord's. And that is coming from someone who is part Japanese... Hyundai still not an option 🙂

Hahah yeeehaw! Says all 4-cyl versions, which means neither the crap 3.0 V6 or the good 3.5 V6 are making it over.

They should totally make an AWD version with the 3.5L Turbo as the GT or SHO model.

This is true. If it is like the Hyundai Sonata, then they saved weight by not making the chassis capable of excepting a 3.5L. How about the 5 cylinder from the Focus RS in Europe then? 🙂
