With almost an entire conference looking to struggle to make it to the .500 point this season, can't think of a better way to celebrate the finale year for the comish.

The game being cancelled for the Spurs last night really frustrates me - I don't get to watch many games, and this being one on national TV screwed it up. Why the hell do they have to try this stuff in a place like Mexico?

Why not? Basketball is a pretty global sport and those are probably two of the more popular outside US borders given the presence of Ginobli and Rubio.

Ginobili is from Argentina and Rubio is from Spain - two countries who probably aren't popular in Mexico, from a sport perspective. There's only one current Mexican player in the league.

First 3 game road winning streak for the Pistons in 5 years. Championship incoming!

The Pistons are definitely entertaining to watch... Monroe, Drummond, JSmoove and Brandon Jennings are straight ballers.

P.S. Will tonight's game be Mike Woodson's last as a Knicks HC??

Suns are actually pretty fun to watch this year. They dominated Houston last night. Held them to 35% shooting!

I thought the backcourt of Dragic and Bledsoe would be solid in a couple years. It is already looking mighty solid. With Channing Frye back and Miles Plumlee stepping it up I think that Phoenix might actually have a chance to make the playoffs. Pretty amazing for a team with one of the lowest team salaries in all the league. Ryan McDonough has been a fantastic GM so far. Cant wait to see what he does with the 4 first round picks the Suns have in a loaded 2014 draft!

Bulls plan of attack: Keep Noah under the basket. When the shot goes up, if it misses, Noah grabs the rebound and puts it back up as Boozer gets next to him. Keep grabbing offensive boards and putting it back up until it goes in.

Genius.

Man Inside the NBA is so much more amusing than the the "gametalk" shows the NFL has lol. Last night when Shaq was talking about the kids he gives gifts to for his annual Christmas event [pretty sure it was that] and he said "they love you Ernie, they like you Kenny, they hate you Chuck" I was laughing pretty hard.

And yeah, surprising performances by both the Bulls and the Heat. Heat have dropped a number of "gimme" games this year, but I think they're just 'willing' to play some games conservatively.

The Heat have achieved that Spurs-level "float through the regular season and lose to some bad teams while everybody predicts your demise, then absolutely destroy everything in the post-season en route to a championship" mode. People have been freaking out about the Heat every other week since LeBron joined, and what do they do? Lose in the Finals, win the Finals, win the Finals and reel off one of the longest win streaks in NBA history. The Heat and the Spurs, until they're actually eliminated from the playoffs, are solid picks to make the Finals. I'm not necessarily saying they're the favorites, but their regular season play doesn't necessarily relate to their actual skill level when they're in "try hard" mode. Neither one should surprise you losing to crappy teams in December (and the Bulls aren't even that bad; they've had nearly two years to adapt to playing without Rose).

The Heat almost blew it last season by chasing that winning streak record. They brought it 100% for nearly 30 games near the end of the season and Wade struggled to stay healthy during the playoff run. The Heat were DEADLY during that winning streak when everyone was fully healthy. Trotting out a gimped Wade was the biggest reason the Heat needed a few 7 game series to win it all. They were good enough, when healthy, to sweep the playoffs or at worst lose 1 or 2.

I don't disagree with their approach to the regular season this year. Steve Kerr has talked about how tough the threepeats were on the Bulls physically. He is convinced that if Jordan didn't leave to play baseball they wouldn't have fourpeated the first run. He is also convinced that they barely scraped by on the second threepeat and didn't have the gas for a fourth one the second time either. The Heat have played in three straight finals and have played so many more games than anyone else over that stretch. They have plenty more playoff games, which are really like two regular season games. If Lebron and Wade are both 90% or better for the duration of the playoffs they will be hard to beat.

Given the state of the rest of the Eastern Conference, Miami would be crazy to try to keep up with Indiana. They're a lock for 2nd place, even if they rest wade a bunch. Who cares if they don't have home court with Indiana, if that means they have a healthy wade?

I'm really not happy about missing out on Portland as a LP team. They hit 17 of 23 threes tonight! Yikes! I'm gonna have to find a copy of the game to watch because that is just absurd.

Yeah, and not to mention David and his three officials with their head stuck up Lebron's ass

Does anyone else think Nicholas Batum is a giant douche? I'm watching the Mavs/Portland game right now and for some reason, every time I see Batum, I just think to myself what a douche he is. I don't konw what it is...could just be that dumb look on his face. <shrug>

Anyone else hate him as much as I do? LOL. At least Dirk is going beast mode right now.

Great finish to the Portland Dallas game; Dirk going beast mode, Lillard responding with a bunch of threes and Monta (!) hitting the clutch game winner at the buzzer. Good stuff.
