I highly recommend A Valley Without Wind. A mix of Terraria, Metroid, and Zelda: Link to the Past, $6 right now and if you buy the first one you get the sequel and early access to the beta.

It's weird as hell, and it's awesome.

I tried to buy trine set two times today and got server unavailable errors when I added it to the cart 🙁 I remember during the thanksgiving sale not being able to get Portal 2 on my phone even though I completed the transaction in the steam android app (was driving across the country during the sale).

I don't buy a lot of games so I can wait it out, but it's just annoying when I hear something good about a local coop game like trine 2, find out it's on sale *and* I'm not working and can buy it, just to get technical problems...

Downloading demo now. :hmm:

Quake won the vote, but the Quake collection is not 75% off.

That is sorry, sorry, sorry.

Games that are at least a decade old should go 75% off.

Has anyone played any of the legacy of kain games? How is it compared to the original, should/can I use my xbox controller?

I was thinking, "Oh hey... maybe I should buy that?" Then I went and looked at my list of games and realized that I already own it... and the sequel. :$

That reminds me of this conversation that I had earlier on Steam with an old eFriend:

Him: what'd you pick up from the steam sale?
aikouka: honestly, not much
aikouka: I think I've bought more from Amazon
Him: wtf
Him: first person i've heard that from
aikouka: really? you have seen how many games I own on steam, right? 😛

I'm actually hoping that DOTA 2 goes on sale for the third time so I can finally remember to buy it! I was watching TotalBiscuit play it earlier, and people didn't seem to be mean, which is always nice in MOBAs.

Already used. 🙁 Is the purchased pack worth it? I'm not really sure if it's just cosmetic items or if they're actually worthwhile.

Blame the publisher, not Steam. Steam isn't setting the prices.

I know the pub sets the prices. But I really think there is more to it with this sale, shit has been so damn weird and I wouldn't be surprised if Valve is doing some of this odd crap to gather data thanks to their economist.

75% off the Fable franchise.

Fable: The Lost Chapters for $2.50 is a great deal; very good game.

Anyone know of a better deal on Fable III? I can't believe the base price hasn't dropped from $50.

Honestly, unless you're going to play Fable 3 with someone, I really can't recommend the game. Most of the fun that I had playing the game involved me messing around with a friend doing pretty much anything else other than the story. Her other husband got a bit jealous and divorced her after we had a big 5-person romp (required to upgrade a weapon!). So, I killed him. That's what love is all about, right? :awe:
